The only Memi I can find seems to be a U.K. based electronics retailer and they don't have any glass screen protectors for the Note 3 that I could find.

Do you mean Mime? As in the Mime Ghost glass screen protector for the Note 3? Sorry, but I kept seeing Memi and I was wondering if that was something different from Mime. Please clear this up for me.

Regards,
Pat

Oops,, my bad,, yup,, that's the one. Sorry about my typo but that is an often discussed brand that many here have purchased. I did not realize I missed typed it. Again I apologize

THE BEAST,,NOTE 3. SIZE IS EVERYTHING!!!

I would seriously consider a tempered class protector but my Zagg Invisible Shield HD still looks, and feels great.

Note 8.0

Which one did you order specifically? I order and just received this: Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector Film for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM N9000 | eBay

It certainly FEELS like glass and not some sort of plexiglass. While I didn't want to try too hard being concerned I would snap it in half, it has NO bend in it at all - it feels like a really thin stiff piece of glass. It is actually a little thicker than I expected (never used glass ones before so this is definitely thicker than the flexible film ones I used on other phones). My new N3 arrived tomorrow so it will have to wait until then to unwrap the screen protector and install.

How did you verify your's wasn't glass?

I have just ordered one of these glass screen protectors after a similar Spiegen fiasco in the original post here. I agree, the recessed home button is not only functional but also protected without the need for a stick on button cover.

Cool, I would like to see all the posters that ordered the cheap Tempered Glass from Ebay, either from the USA or the Hong Kong seller post up what they think of it..As I have been saying, mine is working fine. Plus I have one coming from Hong Kong and that will be my back up which I hope I never have to use!! As this is my first Tempered Glass, it is really nice to NEVER see any bubbles!! :D :D

We be waiting for your report! :D

I just got my clone glass screen protector in from ebay. Other that a small part of the top left corner not staying on, it's not bad. I will give it a few days and maybe the corner will stick. otherwise it's nice.

Same here, its actually the top right corner for me. Had it on since last night and I am hoping it sticks but its not in the way so I can live with it if need be. It is very nice but is also thicker than I expected (never used glass ones before).

Yeah I ordered the one that ships from the states and it is plexiglass. You can bend it and it has the plastic sound when tapping on it. I have installed plexiglass in several fish shacks so I am familiar with it. It still looks good but plexiglass does scratch easier than glass and can cloudy over time.

Can you post the link to the one you bought because there are a number of ebay sources that ship from the US. It would be helpful for others to know which sellers to avoid and which ones are shipping the real thing.

Thanks

Just installed the milo tempered glass screen protector on my note 2, went on very easily and there's no interference with the s-pen which was one of my worries. So much better than the plastic one I had on it before. The package came with the glass protector, alcohol wipe, micro fiber cleaning cloth, sticky paper to clean off any remaining dust and jelly button. The jelly button is pink but since I'm female that's ok. Feels like the phone is naked.

sent from my fabulous galaxy note 2

its also called acrylic glass. basically thermoplastic. and he would definitely be able to tell the difference right away

Okay, could you explain to this layman the difference between the two(? After all, they are advertising it as "tempered glass", not "plexiglass, acrylic" etc.. Also, It is very clear to me. Just as clear as the Spigen when I had it on..

Layman terms? Tempered glass is safety glass, the stuff your windshield is made of. It's actual glass that has been treated. Plexiglas and acrylic are fancy plastic. They each have their uses, but If you see them, you'll be able to tell the difference.

I would suggest your definition of tempered glass while true, is not accurate. While windshields made of "safety glass" which is a sandwich of two layers of glass bonded to a plastic middle layer. The glass may or may not be tempered (I don't know which or if both types are used). The glass used for screen protectors is a single sheet of glass which is tempered (like Gorilla brand tempered glass for example).
Put an organic solvent (acetone for example) on the surface of the product. If it melts or clouds up it is plastic. If it doesn't it is most likely glass.

I just received two of the protectors in question in the mail. I'll try some acetone today and report back.

Update: I let acetone pool/bead on the protector for several minutes and also rubbed it around with a cotton swab. Nothing happened at all. I'm no chemist but I have five daughters who have ruined and melted many a plastic thing with acetone, FWIW.

I received this case (Amazon.com: Bear Motion for Galaxy Note 3 - Premium Bumper Ring Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Note III (Black) (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories) today & it is exactly what I wanted. Protection around all 4 sides with openings for all the sensors and speakers while leaving the great original phone back cover exposed. Far superior to the Speigen Neo I returned.

I received today and it is definitely glass.
UPDATE: It installed easily without even having to use a squeegee and bubble free.

After several posters received this clone glass protector and did chemical tests, which proved that it is indeed glass, your statement that it is Plexiglas seems to be incorrect!! .
