I thought I read somewhere that the "unlocked" model was still branded AT&T??? Maybe I'm wrong....

No just same radios as AT&T but software is different, no AT&T ugly logo, no AT&T ugly boot, no AT&T bloat. More over faster updates. I know you can always flash unlocked firmware and do a full conversion once you unlock boot loader. But if you are paying full price I think it's insane to buy the AT&T model instead of the unlocked model.

Gotcha. AT&T's "extras" are terrible. I remember on the M7 and M8 they had this terrible address book app. Thank goodness for firmware flashing!!!

Yeah, first thing I did with my M8 was disable all that AT&T crap. And they disabled the stock flashlight. Why would they do that?

So if my co worker is with AT&T and not sure for upgrade and has to do that next and it comes to like 708 he should just buy the unlocked version from HTC?

If he can afford to buy unlocked from HTC directly, I would say yes. The thing with Next is that is spreads the payments out so it's not all out of pocket at once.

Third party apps don't seem to make a huge difference.
I think this is a software issue as well tho, and something that "may" improve in the future but there is no guarantee.

The best pics i've got so far are with VSCO Cam where I can pinpoint where I want my exposure from.... but they're still pretty shoddy in low light

I'm excited to play with manual mode. My wife has a DSLR and I'm going to have her show me how to use it! Can't wait for raw mode!

Ours will be here tomorrow also and I can't wait. I hope UPS shows up before we leave for work. I leave around 1:30 my husband at 2:00 if not I am off Tuesday and may have to wait till than. Our condo building is secured we buzz people in so maybe it'll get left by our door if I put my signature on a note on the door. I read their is away to transfer stuff from one phone to the other I have the M8 now. I hope it was worth the trouble to go from the M8 to the M9. Got to send out M8's back to Sprint ASAP.

I ordered from T-Mobile directly, and had a bit of let down today, thinking it was going to be here. Turns out it's arriving tomorrow instead, since it missed the cutoff from the UPS distribution center in KY, and it was shipped 2 day instead of next day.

I too am waiting.... When they said they would start shipping, I figured they would actually start shipping some units.

Out for delivery. I live at the bottom of a one-lane road that UPS never tries to come down during the winter because they'd get stuck, but the road is clear so I hope they try to deliver.

Ordered mine(silver unlocked) on 3/27 0740 am EST and no tracking info yet, hopefully they can ship it out today.
