[THEMES] Download and request themes here.

So now the battery icon doesn't show up at all...charging or not.

I'll have to start from scratch again then...gonna take me a few minutes I think...

Nick, the only thing I changed was the XML for the two battery files. I copied from the battery mod and pasted into the framework counterpart. Why would everything vanish now?

You need to decompile a stock framework with apk manager, paste the modded text into the proper xml files, place the images in drawable-mdpi, and then recompile for everything to work correctly.

Never been a fan of 7zip, but maybe i'll start using it. I definately see how it could make this stuff easier...

I would love some advice on how to theme DeskClock.apk. There is an awesome mod to it that goes along with my honeycomb port, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get it to work.

try this, it's what i used from my honeycomb hero theme for the HTC hero

should be the standard deskclock apk with the honeycomb theme images :D

but if you really want to know how to do it

easiest way, as long as you are not messing with .9 png's:

set up a folder for the apk in question

unzip the apk...edit the images using photoshop or gimp or whatever you would like to use, then using 7zip open archive, then just move the edited pngs in the correct file.

as a sidenote, usually use PNG Gauntlet to optimize my images

looks good man! I like them both i'ma bit of a flasher 8-O When it comes to Roms and themes.... also had the Hero... you planning to jump ship? Only thing I missed were flash lite and Cyanogen and were already 1/2 there :)

Nick was awesome and modded the ThundeROM theme for me so that the menus were black, the clock was removed from the notification bar and the battery icon was a circle.

My question is...can anyone make the circle battery icon a colored one? So it's like blue or green fully charged, yellow when it's running down and red when it's critical?

Thanks!

Can I second this request, but with the clock still in the notification bar? I like the color circle, but will be plenty happy with the white one. And if adding the clock back isn't possible, could I at least get a copy of the one that kpfeiffer was given, as a start? Thanks!

Edit:

OK, I found the posts by Nick indicating that you can "simply" add the services.jar from the original TR theme to the modded theme to get the clock back, and replace the contents of the circle battery mod images in drawable-mdpi.

I was about to attempt this and noticed that Theme_TR.zip (no longer available on Nicks site for some reason) is 5.8mb but the modded theme is only 2.4mb. What's missing from one or the other? Is the modded theme meant to be flashed over the un-modded theme only?

Edit 2:

Looks like the difference is that Theme_TRmodded.zip doesn't have directories /system/app or /system/fonts like Theme_TR. Will this cause a problem or is it OK if those were there once already? I'm assuming I can load one, then flash the other and it won't touch it since its not there.

Maybe I missed it but can someone point me in the right direction to download the honeycomb theme and if there are any screenshots of it. Thanks a bunch!

Oh..hehe....That would help, huh?
I'm running CM7-GB. With Xionia-009 that came with it.

I may be able to make a flashable for cm7. I'm off work tomorrow so I can give it a shot

*nevermind* didn't realise it wasn't deodexed lol (honestly, i prefer flashables)

i've got the theme engine figured out, i'll be releasing a theme this week barring any unforseen obsticles :D
