This TB delay is going to seem like a happy dream when the new 4G tiered data plans come out.
I'm a beer-drinker in the Boston area and I've never even heard of that brew, much less seen it, lol. I Googled it to confirm it's existence though, ha ha. Apparently, it's a rare, specialty brew that's only available on tap, which explains why I've never seen it, as I don't go out to bars very often.
On topic (kind of), how much do you think I'd have to slip a VZW employee to get them to move my NE2 upgrade date up, so I can get the TB upon release? $50? $100?![]()
I won't be disappointed.
If no Thunderbolt, getting a Droid Incredible.
If data is greater than $45, getting Droid Incredible.
All set.

So the only way this phone will work is if it has the 4G sim card?
yeah. its starting to scare me. the stubborn side of me says "you've waited for this phone for 2 months- hang in there!" the logical side of me says "crappy battery life, limited 4g service, expensive 4g data plan, all for a phone that has the same processor as the incredible with a front camera and 256 more mb of ram"... sigh. I'm afraid I'm jumping ship, folks.
Yes from what i understand. There is another thread on a different forum where a user has a phone and is testing it. He said he had to wait to get it because the verizon rep needed to get him the sim card - and he is in a 3g only part of the country.
I think I've figured out the code in the username "Bennnnn"
A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, etc...
B=2012 and E=5 or May and 5 N's would be the fith. Thunderbolt release date is May 5, 2012. Bennnnn, am I correct?
The point was not the method, it was the logic. Faster speeds chew through data much faster (duh). Netflix, Google Cloud services, etc. are great, but they'll be burning data faster than we're used to. Capped data is going to be a major problem with LTE, even for normal users.

What the deuce? It doesn't have the same processor as the Incredible. It has the 2nd gen Snapdragon. But its also possible that when the Tbolt launches 4g will be unlimited and then maybe grandfathered into the tiered data plans.
One thing to consider though... is that Verizon could offer unlimited Netflix data for a small additional fee. Just like they're planning to do with the Slingbox:
Sling Media Announces Subscription Offering for Verizon Wireless... -- LAS VEGAS and BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Jan. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
You'll "rent" the hardware from Sling and then it'll stream to your 4G device but it won't count against your "normal" data usage.
Cloud based music would be the same. That won't be free. You'll have to pay for it (which would include the music and streaming).
So, for you non-tetherers... 5GB's will go a lot farther.
What is BMX's Twitter link? I'm new to Twitter. Thanks!
First off, we don't know FOR CERTAIN there was battery issues. Second, if they fixed it, it doesn't mean the battery will still suck. A fix/ patch can do amazing things to hardware/software.
