I'm kinda leaning towards waiting for something else now. Although I will play with the Ipad 2 because for some reason I think it would compliment my shiny new Thunderbolt when I do get one

Only thing holding me back is the lack of flash...

One thing i see the Japan news doing, it will wipe out all iPad launch news
AND if Apple had a heart they would delay the release until conditions are right after a devastating event such as the one hitting Japan and about to hit the US West Coast

I honestly don't think they'll stop the launch, but they may donate a crapton of money to the cause

I don't miss that flash most of the time. If I run across some site where flash is something i need. I just wait til I hit up my PC at home.

the good about not beign flash, is it saves on battery, and speed of loading pages, especially on 3G.

But I am truely waiting to see how this HTC Flyer pans out. Would compliment my HTC Thunderbolt... Now that is.......

That would be great, but they're gonna ride the iPad wave as long as they can. This device is making mainstream news without them having to spend a dime on additional PR just because it's an Apple product, so why not?

I have a Xoom and I think it's great... and 3.0 is very enjoyable. It has a fresh feel too it which the iPad didn't (I tried an iPad and got tired of the UI).

But... the lack of apps, etc. are going to kill it in the short term. No Netflix? People just kind of expect that.
