Not sure I agree with that. If it was on target for the 17th, we'd be hearing more. There'd be more leaks... more information circulating. I know it's iPad 2 time, but it's not going to be a major event for VZW... and even it were, we'd still hear something.
Smells more like April every day. Smells like LOSING.
The 17th is still looking good to me. Still plenty of time for an announcement if they plan on making one.

which pointed to a release being a week away.
Also, they are so crazy with the ipad2 launch that there wont be an annoucement until next week

Exactly.... it could go all the way till Wednesday to hear anything. Just gonna have to wait and see.
Looking like another Long weekend waiting for an announcement from VZW..... this saga needs to end.

I know right!!! My daughter's phone is so bad that she can't make a phone call without her phone dying and I'm not going to get anything new for a phone we won't be using anymore. If we could just get some official word, I would be able to tell her to hold on for "x" days and we will have new ones. The longer we wait the worse our phones get and I REALLY don't want to get a temp phone and then have to go back get a different one.

Just a FYI - I was having my car worked on yesterday so I decided to pop into the Verizon store nearby while I waited. Got to talking to a great rep there. They didn't have demo TBs yet nor have they received any training on it. She (like me) was using an old Blackberry and is just as frustrated as we are on how this is being handled because she wants one too. She hates the iPhone and said people are swamping them every day with inquiries about the TB.
She did tell me something I found interesting but have no idea if it's true. She said Best Buy could pay for the exclusive rights to sell one of their phones and that they've done it before. I didn't ask her which phone they had done that with though. She said they could go directly to the manufacturer and buy the rights to the phone and Verizon can't do anything about it.
We don't have 4G service in my area yet but she did say the towers are up and currently being tested so that was very good news for me. Now I just need that 4G phone to go with the service when it's rolled out here.
