HTC just posted this on their Facebook page:

There is a lot of excitement about the first Verizon LTE device, the HTC ThunderBolt. HTC and Verizon will officially and publicly announce the Thunderbolt launch dates soon. Please stay tuned for the debut of this great new device.

Monday is the day we get a date. It has to be after a post like that.

I have approx 20 posts in that thread myself... back in the day I used to own a 9700... I'm much better now

I currently have a Blackberry Storm 2 that my work provided to me. I also have an HTC Droid Eris as my personal phone. My Droid Eris runs circles around the Storm 2. I remember my days and nights on Blackberry forums, until I caught a case of the Androids. Since then, I've not looked back...not even for purposes related to my Storm 2.

I would guess it is more likely an online order date and an in-store date. From what I've seen, Verizon typically has it on their website at least a day ahead of time so it is delivered the same day that you can buy it in-store. I would be really surprised if Best Buy got it on a different day than Verizon stores.
