You are right but they also have not released the phone should we quit talking about that too? There is a high probability that they will change the data pricing when this phone is released... if not it is coming this summer for sure.
So what if i am in a non LTE area. How can they justify charging a tiered data rate for me?

They can charge you whatever they want.

I would gladly pay higher for unlimited, full speed data on the bolt.
If you change your phone to a 4g... if not and you are under contract and it will not change.
why would you gladly pay more? $30 a month for unlimited 3G is already a lot of money... i'd be happy for nothing to change, but more than $30 a month for data is a no-go

Because I am an american and believe in paying for the value of the service. Faster would mean more valuable. If 30 bucks is a lot of money for you you may want to reevaluate spending 250 on a cell phone.

lol, the "value" of the products we pay for here in the good ol' U.S.of A (and any other developed country) is substantially less than what we pay for them. Sorry to break it to ya. The "value" of even a 3G network is nowhere near $30/month for unlimited. We are being raped with that price, but that is the industry standard because they know they can get away with it and there isn't a thing we can do about it.
Anyways, that's not the point of the thread and I digress.
What just happened to the comments?? All of a sudden people's comments are showing as posted by the wrong people
I know...it said that fatboy posted the comment that I just posted...weird.

Yeah, but your wages are substanitally higher than the value you're contributing versus the value you would add in say... Thailand where I'm sure 3G prices are cheaper.
This is a America. You make American wages... so I'm not sure why you think you should make American wages yet pay for the value of services in a country where wages are substantially lower.
Econ 101 is this way ----->
