I can tell you right now that the EVO 3D isn't what people are thinking it is

EVO3D - Optimus 3D with EVO branding for Sprint
G2X - Optimus 2X for T-Mobile using the G branding

Wow, I would have never guessed that they weren't HTC by the model numbers. That's pretty sneaky.

The EVO is an HTC thing. Calling an LG phone the EVO 3D would be extremely confusing and misleading.

Sprint owns the copyright on EVO, but HTC registers it on the devices they make for the EVO line

EVO is basically just there version of the DROID moniker

Sprint last year even said they had plans to expand on the EVO family with other devices from other manufacturers. its not exclusive to HTC by name

your same argument was brought up in the official sprint forums as well

For example: When a device manufacturer is asked to trademark the name given, they are responsible as part of the agreement with the carrier.

ThunderBolt is Verizon's name for the phone - but HTC registered the name

T-Mobile owns the G brand, but it will have LG register the G2X name

Sprint owns the EVO name, but it will have HTC register the EVO Shift 4G/ EVO 4G / EVO View names (which it has)

if this held true that the EVO3D was made by HTC, wouldn't you think that we would have seen the trademark leaked already since the EVO View was already registered by HTC?

I'm straying off topic, but i'm not leading this argument on past this post.

Not so much in my neck of the woods. Sprint and T-Mo seem to be OK in NE Ohio...but At&t at least when I had them 4 years ago had lots of dropped calls.

I am a 2 year warrior...my last decision? Storm1...yes go ahead and mock...I saw a commercial, it looked shiny and I said "mine". We like Verizon, and I can pretty much guarantee if the Bolt released a month ago...I would not even be looking ahead...I would have snatched up one for me and the wife. I want to move to android, and I think HTC and the Sense UI is going to be right for us...I just want to pick the right phone. Also, not saying I am not betting the bolt...just, looking ahead (contract up in June). I know the tech changes every 4 months anyway. But I also know the folks who are the experts here that I listen to rock a new phone every 6 months...so hearing their impressions will be helpful to me.

my perfect dream phone would be an HTC made 4.3 inch HTC sense phone with a qHD screen and dual core snapdragon.

on a side note have you guys noticed that when you post something on here the time is till the same, it hasnt been updated yet.
