There's a storm brewing...

Since it is now pretty obvious that Verizon knows you are here, I hope you report back and tell them that they are not pleasing their consumers. This lack of communication is not acceptable, and they will not be the top carrier for long if this continues into their other business practices.

End rant.

"Lack of communication"- sorry sport, they said a 1st quarter release and never made any promises to anyone. If they had, you would have the phone in your hands as we speak. Release dates are not set in stone and I hardly think your being upset is going to put a dent in their business practices. Even if there were several hundred people that threatened to jump ship, it wouldn't matter. 91.2 million vs. 300-400... do the math.

With your definition of soon, is the stair graph that was shown yesterday drawn to scale? (Distance over time)

Haha Misson 11? Drawn to scale? You are looking into it too much.

Thats just something that was sent to my department and a few others within Verizon. If only I could show you guys what's listed below...

I posted on Twitter that Verizon might as well call themselves Apple Wireless, as they had obviously sold their soul to the devil. I got a reply from @timsapps that basically said for me to shut my pie hole and to keep my negative comments to myself because some people make a living off of iOS. LOL Whatever buddy.

at CES they said "as early as March we will start to see the devices starting with the HTC ThunderBolt"

is it riddle time yet? :)

edit: dAMN, double post again.... its so hard to multiquote on different pages of posts....

Just think, in a few months we're going to be looking back at these posts thinking how crazy we were over this device.

Few months? Rumor has it at April 23rd-29th unless something has changed.

after all of this fiasco, I doubt VZW releases many more LTE phones before the tiered 4g pricing comes in the summer. At CES, they said Q2, and at this point I'm leaning toward the end, since the TB was scheduled for Q1 and has been pushed all the way to the end. And the past 2k posts have been full of unfruitful rumors...

Ben^5 stated a few pages back that (paraphrased) "Mr. Jobs has nothing to do with the T-Bolt release."

I am saying that while an Apple device launch may be responsible, it has less to do with anything that Jobs may or may not have said and more to do with it making logical sense from a marketing mindset. Multiple big impact hits evenly spaced out yield much greater rewards than a single nuclear warhead. Almost every company in the world releases new products and services in the former fashion.

I'm not a fan of the iProducts any more than the rest of you, but these conspiracy theories only cause unneeded hysteria. We are all more than intelligent enough to think constructively as to why the T-Bolt could have been delayed from a release intended for the 10th. Don't give into anti-fanboyism just because it's the thing to do :/

I bet you this forum is going to be a ghost town the end of next week because everyone will be busy playing with the Thunderbolts. No, that's not a euphemism...or is it? ;)

Well said.

Lemme guess:

"Disclaimer: Not drawn to scale. Not representative of any devices, past, present, or future. For educational purposes only. Subject to change. Warranty void after 90 days. Violators subject to immediate arrest, fine, or imprisonment. Discounts subject to avilability. No refunds, returns, or exchanges."

Right?

OK, I have been lurking for a while now. I was using a Storm 2, but I bought a DX (my first Android) on February 27 from Best Buy. I can return it within 14 days and cancel my contract and go back to the Storm, or I can return it within 30 days for another phone on the same contract. I really want the Thunderbolt.

Bennnnn, would you recommend that I return the phone before Sunday and go back to my Storm, thereby preserving my upgrade price once the contract is reversed (takes 3-4 business days); or would you suggest just waiting until the TB comes out (keepiing in mind that if it isn't released before March 29th and I haven't turned in my DX, I am stuck with it.)

Thanks Ben^5. I understand that you can't show us what's underneath but it's just soooo hard to not know anything. I'm one of the people that don't expect this phone til the last day of this month and I'm trying very hard not to get my hopes up based on your information because it sounds like you know but you can't say.

Can you at least shed some light on why they've chosen this silent approach with us? What is the point of it?

Just busy with preparation. Once everything is finalized you will hear an announcement. But not until everything is worked out and completed.
