Hey Bennnnn,

Yesterday you mentioned waiting on the green light before you could tell us something. Are you still waiting on a green light?

Got anything for your peeps today?

Yep. Use your HTC Thunderbolt to watch UNC win on the go. Seriously though. You'll be able to watch it.

Are you hinting at a March Madness app available for the TB with live games (and no additional charge!)? Cause that would be SICK.

Go Buckeyes!! :P

Bennnnn,

Yesterday you said your mission was to get a response from your director about the statement from Tony Malone.

Any news?

Come on..now I'm sure if he did he that would have been his very first post. Remember he wants this phone as much as we do and I've checked out all the posts he's made and he does a great job of keeping with up with our yearning for news on our phone. When he gets the official word I'm sure we will be the first to hear from him about it :)

I bet it's torture for him to..wanting to tell us stuff but not being able to!

In all seriousness, no updates as of now. Haven't heard anything different than the 17th so seems to be on track. Lets cross our fingers and hope it stays this way.

I did, and I'm waiting to see how it plays out before I post it here. I don't want to give you guys information and then all of a sudden policies change, because it is very up in the air as of now. Once it is definite, I'll let you guys know.

Aww...my apologies to you and green77. I truly sympathize. On that note, I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT IS! BET IT'S FAST! :p

I might have to travel to see just how fast it is. maybe a trip next weekend. What do you think Bennnnn? Should I pack my bags for next weekend so I can see how fast that TB is in LTE area?

YEAH! RUB IT IN, WILL U? Anyways, the first weekend after picking up my Thunderbolt, I'm driving down to Boston to test LTE. I used to live in Somerville for a few years so it would be nice to meet some of my old friends too.

AT LEAST, I'm not in Pensacola with T-mobile *cough*cough*

Oh yeah. The new 4G LTE network is blazing fast. Definitely worth a trip.

Samsung Stealth lasts a full day on LTE

Verizon?s Samsung Stealth gets pictured; April release date rumored | BGR

What does that mean for us? The T-Bolt and the network are probably fine, just as BMX and Ben^5 have told us yesterday. We'll be seeing our dream phone sooner than later.

BMX definitely didn't say the network was fine. There weren't "major" issues with it but obviously severe enough to potentially further delay the device.

They may do a limited rollout of Thunderbolt but they can't launch it without 4G. That'll be a PR nightmare and will piss off HTC to no end.

Also, I don't see how the Samsung phone gets an April release when TB hasn't even hit the street yet. Although, I'm sure the Samsung phone will probably be only slightly delayed assuming VZW can resolve their network issues.

It's going to be brutal when they don't meet the 17th.

Bennnnn -- If the Thunderbolt is delayed past the 17th, is there a cascade effect on the other devices? One would assume that HTC was/is counting on some space between the TB and the Samsung, LG, and Motorola offerings.

Or... is it more likely that VZW will just release more devices in a rapid fire fashion?

There's always going to be some space between launches, so really, it depends on how delayed it gets.

This should only interest you if you are content with being on 2.2 FOREVER. There is still no official Froyo for the Fascinate, and the Epic's just keeps getting pulled. Think very hard before dropping your hard earned dollars on a Samsung device, at least until they prove they are worthy of those dollars by supporting the people from whom they have already taken money.
