The thing is, the "twice as long" is not based on fact at all. No one has stated anything about the battery life with the current firmware. All we've heard are rehashed, 2-3 hour battery rumors and 5th-person, friend of friend of family hearsay.

i will kiss everybody's you know what on here, if the Tbolt lasts an entire day on 4g. it is IMPOSSIBLE! firmware upgrades cant take you from 2-3 to an entire day!!!

Has Verizon launched any new phones after Feb 10 iPhone launch?

why not the 24th? verizon has been launching new products starting iphone 4, xoom, ipad 2 all 2 weeks apart. 2 weeks from ipad 2 launch = 24th? i've seen someone saying this online, and thought it made some sense.. as much as i want it to be 17th...

Question about the LTE network...as of right now its only in "major" cities...is there anywhere to look other than the list of 20 or so cities and airports listed on the VZW site to see areas that are currently covered with the LTE network? I live about 30mins outside of Boston..would I be able to pick up the signal?

I already told you up above, but here is an easier way... go here Coverage Locator - Verizon Wireless and then just choose 4G coverage and refresh the map.

Sense 2.0 has a 4G/3G widget

Yeah, it does sound kind of "Pre" mature. LOL. In other news, quick show of hands:

Who thinks that tiered pricing may BENEFIT those of us that use 2-2.5GB of data a month?

The whole idea was to empty inventory as quickly as possible, this device was in development before the HP/Palm buyout, and the hardware was supposedly already completed and stockpiled for shipment.

It was a "quiet launch" so to speak since there was no advertising other than the announcement that HP made the 15th of February, and then release on the 17th

:) thank you. lol, yeah my husband was like, well we need to set a date that seems practical and in line with the things going on this year, so we decided that date in june.
but as of getting an actual camera- we have an intova IC12 right now that does 12mp, not too bad, but i totally understand getting an SLR, i really want one, but im thinking with all the other expenses (ie. phones lol) we will have to wait on a way better camera :)
plus my husband is way into sharing our vacation pics on facebook with the fam and friends, and 8mp is way better than 3.5 :D

I wasnt saying anything was wrong either, it was funny because everyone really wants this phone to come out.

Bennnnn, I appreciate the insights. With several recent articles and interviews, a lot of folks in the forums are saying that the delays are about the LTE network and tiered pricing of the data plans. When you talk about the "policies chang(ing)", is that some policy related to the pricing of LTE?

Hopefully that's generic enough that you can respond without spelling out if the TB will get unlimited 4G or if it will roll out with the tiered 4G plans.

Yes, when I refer to policy changes I do in fact mean 4G LTE pricing.

Put me down for a vote on a March 14 or 15 announcement with a 17th launch.

My guess is Verizon doesn't need (or want) a lot of time between announcement and launch since they've already pushed this thing back enough already and want to get it out there as quickly as possible.

Plus they have the entire tech forum/blogosphere (those who will be waiting in line outside the store before it opens on the 17th) already buzzing nonstop about this phone, so no point in waiting to build more buzz after an announcement.

Once it launches they'll do a huge advertising push like they did with the original Droid and the Incredible in order to push sales

I agree with you 100%. They always do a huge ad campaign with every huge launch, my guess is we'll see those Thunderbolt commercials from youtube again plus some new ones.
