so one feature that i've been puzzled about (i'm not a techie so sorry if this is obvious) is the dolby surround... in a cell phone? how does this work...?

I think its kind of a fancy way of saying theres a speaker in the back of your phone..
although it will be functioning during DLNA playback(on yo tv! or w.e) so i guess thats sort of a surround sound..

The phone is pricey enough and I would guess we are looking at 50 bucks for 5 gigs at best. That's just to much for me. I'll stick with a little slower speed and pretty much the same phone on at&t for 99 bucks and be happy. Im sure the thunderbolt will be incredible but its just a phone!! And no phone is worth that kind of money.

Where did you get the figure of $50 for 5GB of data? Just wondering if this is something I just hadn't seen yet. That sounds more like a price for a dedicated 4g card than a 4g phone (ridiculous either way).

I believe it is for the cards. Someone else mentioned that in an earlier post, and it was the air card price.

yeah, for the air cards it's $50 for 5GB and $80 for 10GB

...and it's worth noting that data card pricing plans are usually 20 bucks more expensive than phone data plans, so that may offer a little hope

But as always, they could change their data plans at any time and so we really can't say that this "20 bucks less" thing will hold forever

I'll be pissed if they pull a "Sprint" on us and make those of us that don't even live in a live LTE area yet still pay more for 4G
