Htc is based in Taiwan right? It's Monday morning there now. Any chance they may announce anything new before "our" Monday morning?

No chance. This will be announced by Verizon. Even is HTC did announce something, I wouldnt believe it until i heard it from Verizon.

Im tired of these rumors T.T
This phone have more rumors than as many lindsay lohan been to rehab...
Now they are trying to say it may be slowed down due to the earthquake in Japan...

only news he broke this weekend was that tiered pricing is going to stick

but no mention of any delay :)

AND BMX just tweeted he's going to maybe update his blog with launch details for ThunderBolt just now

I thought his words were might stick. Just wanted to clarify!

Let's try and guess whats this Scorpion processor can be overclocked to :P

a version of the processor is a 1.2 GHz.. so Im thinking at least 1.5/1.6Ghz

It doesn't look like BMX is going to post anything...Imagine that!!

He posts ONE post to his blog a day because of LENT

I have a hunch this is the same processor in the Tbolt, but its down clocked

thanks again for the other responses to my question. I created a new group in my gmail contacts for "phonebook" and i'll hide all the others when I finally get my phone.

I can't wait to get this thing and bug all of you droid veterans with my newbie questions!! :)

Well, either you or all of my students!! (I am a HS teacher, all my students have smartphones!)

So do you think by posting that he is trying to say he or Verizon will announce something tomorrow or is he trying to get attention? I thought he was only going to tweet 1 time a day during lent, not blog. I wish he would say something. Another thought, if knows the information about the launch, where is Bennnn?? If he knows then you would think Bennnn would too? Just saying.

sweet then im reseting it back to 1.2 when charging

I don't know 100% sure but a couple of my hardcore tech friends say it is the fabled scorpion processor, which originally was the first 1.2GHZ processor from qualcomm the FIRST to have LTE/3G support on one chip with the integrated Adreno GPU.

its still possible this could be another version of it thats only able to handle 1ghz

Inspire 4G i saw was overclocked to 1.8ghz (stable)

I'm not watching TV today (rarely do...) but a few posts back someone just mentioned they saw a TB ad on ESPN. I'd guess it was one of the 2 or 3 VZW ads.

that was me and btw i think it was a HTC commercial. it was the one where a person tied a tbolt to a helicopter and streamed video to a laptop

Well he has posted twice today so the lent thing must be out the window!! This crap is getting old quick. I wish Bennnn would jump in and give his 2 cents. If BMX knows, then Bennnn would too so why is he being silent? Makes no sense.

I don't read Engadget anymore, I haven't for a while after i noticed there reviews and news were mostly Apple oriented, and BMX has posted on his blog why that is, corruption in Engadget, and the reason why two major journalists for the blog are leaving to start a new one.

Anywho, I highly doubt it will take two - four weeks, the HTC rep tweeted the 17th not long after the news broke about the "conditional" approval. I'm pretty sure HTC was quick to react, then not long after midnight we saw the tweet and facebook post by HTC saying they were announcing the date soon, the first real confirmation we've had since CES. Note: The changes Verizon is requesting is changes in the FUTURE updates, not the current firmware on the device. My guess is this could very well be that they locked 4G to start and are requesting HTC to make an update in preparation to unlock it and are only merely setting up a date to schedule that update and are waiting for HTC to approve that request. (MY theory). MEANING Verizon could still be shipping these to the stores and just have a DO NOT sell order on them until they get approval from HTC and then they will announce the date and they will go on sale.

Since again, the approval is not for what is on the phone NOW, but rather the updates it will receive in the future.

EDIT: Htcsense.com might be getting worked on at the moment since for over a couple of hours now the device list reports an error along with the regions it supports. I'm hoping HTC fully launches the site at CTIA, its still in beta... :(

Thanks NCX, you rock!....this makes sense to me now especially connected with the other info on the handoff that came up last week.

My dog is randomly barking at the sky. Only does this when a storm is coming. A storm that involves lightning :)
