Things you don't like about LGV10? :(

The dual window option can only be used with a few apps. Whats the point of having two apps open that I don't need? This is a let down, given the amount of hype this feature has been getting as a multi-tasking hand set.

What hype? LG has had this feature for a couple years now. LG isn't going to officially support all apps in dual window because there are too many variables and if an app didn't work in dual window, people would unnecessarily be blaming LG for it not working.

If you root the phone, you can have all apps available in dual window mode.

The hype I was referring to is all the YT reviews. I must have watched 25-30 different YT reviews for this phone before choosing it. All reviewers praised the dual window, none mentioned it only works for a few different app types.

BLUETOOTH!! Anything I connect gets an annoying popping sound every couple of minutes. Any bluetooth speaker, headphones or Car stereo. Popping sound will be there whether I am streaming music or am playing music that is already on my phones memory. I reached out to LG and they pretty much asked me to do a factory reset which didn't help at all. The next option would be to send in my phone for "Repair" which would leave me phone-less for 7-10 days. This is my first LG phone I decided to give a try since at that time Samsung had decided it was smart to go with no external memory....Back to Samsung I go.

Two things:

-The ESS Sabre DAC doesn't work with Poweramp (somewhat rectified with the 701+ alpha builds for Poweramp but only supports the native SD 24-bit DAC)

-Choppy animations with YouTube as well as problems playing 1440p videos where it plays for a bit before the video output freezes but the audio keeps playing (despite complaints from other users however, 1080p60fps playback works flawlessly).

Did you try the DACFIX app to make the dac work with poweramp? It fixed spotify, not sure if it will help poweramp.

battery life

wish it were slightly smaller but love the rarely used MINI VIEW amongst many other features

random buggy things like yesterday i did not get a calendar reminder

used SOUND PROFILE PRO on my previous android...it doesn't seem well integrated with this one. for example, i can set my email and texts to silent when i sleep but that also silences my ringer which i want to hear (no one would call me in the middle of the night unless it were urgent).

open to suggestions!

Already tried that a month ago. It was a working fix for Poweramp until I decided to start using the alpha builds. I'm guessing the overhauled audio engine is keeping the "silent sound" method the dacfix app is using to trick the amp into staying on is shutting off all sound.

The only complaint I have is the screen. I wish both of the screens were amoled. I see way too much back light bleeding through, especially on the second screen. Nova launcher takes care of my stock UI issues.

The size. I wish they'd released a 5.2 or 5.5 (the secondary screen included).

*fingers-crossed* for the V20

I agree though it's pretty close. The blacks on the V10's screen are blacker than those on phones with LCD displays as well. Light bleed is also a thing for me but I prefer light bleed over screen burn in, which Amoled still seems too susceptible to.

1 Fingerprint scanner won't work with case
2 Battery life not bad but could be better
3 No Wireless charging
4 No led notification
And that's about it!

No LED notifications?

No led. Doesn't need it cause of the second screen. Provides way more info than a single led.

I've noticed this. I also download LED Notifications, as well. Between both of these it shouldn't be an issue. We'll see. So far, I love this V10

Volume and power buttons located on the front on this size of a phone.
-I REALLY dislike the location of these buttons... not only is it uncomfortable due to the large size of the phone, but doing features like 'screenshot' is difficult from my large fingers.

Wireless Radio
-The wireless radio on this phone, for it being a flagship is THOROUGHLY disappointing. From my bedroom with one room inbetween my phone and a 300 dollar business grade router I get two bars and it drops constantly. Not only is signal strength bad but the range is pathetic. Plus it will 'automatically' avoid connections it thinks are 'poor' and thus compounds the issue.

Cellular Radio
-Same as above. Quite honestly this pisses me off more than the wifi. I have gone to certain locations with my wife that uses a LEON that gets five bars of signal when I get NONE. This is unacceptable for a phone that costs this much. I've had important calls drop for no apparent reason when I've within a mile of a radio tower.

Dual Screen
-Wasted, annoying, useless feature. Oh I can use calculator and another useless app at the same time! Ha... If I could maybe run my browser and youtube at the same time... that'd be nice... or a messenger and youtube.

I moved to this from a Nexus 5 which was CHEAPER, had better wifi altogether(I could use a wireless signal 200ft away without issue), and NEVER had issues with the cellular signal.

Frankly I would move back to my Nexus 5, also made by LG, if I could but the phone was physically at the end of its life and was dying. To be honest... this experience has put me off from buying another LG phone in the future. I feel like I was literally scammed into getting this phone by its features only to find everything else was lackluster.

I would call this abnormal based on my experience. I had that issue you described with a Nexus 6 and I changed to the V10 and now have the opposite. Signal quality has been great and just as good as my wife's Note 5. Have you tried to contact your provider about this?

having been a blackberry user for many years, i can tell you that a simple LED notification is what i also prefer. the whole point of LED notification (to me anyway) was to keep me from having to constantly pick up my phone to see if i missed something (i don't always have it in hand so to speak). the second screen however is a nice touch that at least saves me the trouble of then turning on the screen to see if i've missed something...

I see your point. I came from the Moto X series which I loved. This second screen is the closest I can get to the Moto X. A quick glance at that screen knowing what my notifications are without even touching it is huge for me. Plus seeing the time quickly too. And turning on the flashlight and camera without unlocking phone is a bonus too.

all true. but the 2nd most brilliant part of a blackberry was the simple flashing LED (#1: pkb). you could leave it on your desk or nightstand and know when you glanced over if you even needed to pick it up. it's that very reason that led me to android in the first place...

when i finally made the switch from blackberry i had to decided between iphone and android. at that time, the HTC ONE was the only phone i found that had a flashing LED built in. so kudos to droid...and if BB makes a better hybrid than the PRIV i shall return. but this LGV10 is pretty darn amazing.

I don't like that it forgets my fingerprint. That's the only way I can describe it.

Unlike some (most?) others, using the phone in (any) case has never posed an immediate problem with the fingerprint sensor. Enrolling my fingerprint takes about ten seconds. Keeps for about three days and then slowly but surely, starts working less and less until I can't scan in at all.

While it's working, unlocking is lightning quick. Doesn't matter if it's in the Incipio case or not. Once the forgetfulness starts it doesn't matter if it's in the case or not.

I've tried enrolling my fingerprint and using my phone without the case and it doesn't matter. After about three days it just plain stops working.

Doesn't matter, I'm going back to the Galaxy soon. Just wish I knew what was going on with the V10.
