Things you don't like about LGV10? :(

The battery life isn't great.

And coming from the Note 1 & 3, I'm still getting used to the power & volume buttons on the back.

What bugs me the most is I can't use PowerAmp with the ESS Hi-Fi DAC. Hopefully there will be a fix at some point.

That's an upsetting one. I'm looking at getting a V10 and use PowerAmp exclusively for my music. Have to check with them to see if there is a fix coming.

I don't think k the battery life is terrible at all but Im coming from a nexus 4.

However I wish the speakers were placed on the front of the phone and I'm still getting used to the size.

Wireless charging isn't a that big of a deal especially since you will eventually be able to buy a back cover that supports wireless.

I'm coming from a note 4 edge and I'm loving this phone.
Couple of things tho
1.- Battery is better than previous phone
2.- Speaker sucks
3.- When your phone is with the screen off in a dark room you can see light coming out of the back of the front facing cameras towards the second screen. Not too much where it bothers but enough to notice.
4.- The phone doesn't seem to charge with any of my old chargers/usb cables.
5.- No headphones ????

Other than that I'm loving my phone, I'm not going to give samsung the business if they do not listen to their customers. And to top it off, not only LG is still providing removable battery and sd card, but with their promotion they are giving you one extra, that's awesome.

I just installed PowerAmp and turned the Hi-Fi DAC on and it seemed to work. No errors or anything.

Battery is poor, and the screen cracks easily. No other phone battery may be any better but I was hoping it was a bit better than my 2 year old Note3. At least the battery is removable which it why I bought the thing. No one else has a removal battery anymore.

This afternoon if found that the screen it cracked. It was hard to tell until it turned the phone off. Not sure how it happen but it was cracked by hitting the right metal edge of phone about an inch from the bottom. Metal shows no sign of marks, but I now have a spidered screen. I believe it was broken from a 1 ft fall onto the car door sill or from a 3 ft fall off a night stand. Either way, disappointed that a phone advertised to be sturdy breaks this easily. Guess I'll give up the fingerprint reader and get a case.

The app works fine but it is not using the ESS DAC.

Try this. While using PowerAmp and listening to some music, access the Hi-Fi settings. You'll find two circular volume knobs for the left and right channels. Adjust one of them to "0." You would expect a volume change in the channel you adjusted....but no change.

Now use the default music player and try the same experiment. You will notice that the volume in the channel you adjust changes.

There is a work-around. Start by listening to music with the default player and while the music is playing switch to PowerAmp.....in my experiments PowerAmp is then using the ESS DAC.

That said, the playback codecs that Poweramp is using are very good and come very close to the performance of the ESS DAC with the standard Snapdragon DAC. However PowerAmp using the ESS DAC is better. You just have to use the work-around right now which is a pain.

I have been using the V10 for a week now so far only thing I do not like is

1. No guest mode, before the V10 I had a G3 then note 4 both have a guest mode, I use guest mode or kids mode for my daughter to watch disney jr app, pbs kids and kids youtube. sad this has no guest or kids mode.

2. Native email app is buggy, my hotmail acct do not get new mail but gmail is ok

3. LG V10 accessory sucks, I like to use manufacturers accessories knowing they will play well with the device, only thing I got is a bumper cuz, in korea they say the aftermarket cases do not play well with the finger print scanner so I just got a bumper from LG when I was in korea. (no im not korean I just travel a lot) I was thinking the folio case but I hate folio case

4. I will not talk about the battery life others already mentioned it but I submitted for my free 200gb & extra battery, for now I carry my 20,000mah batt, I am not a heavy user most I do is watch netflix when waiting for my flight.

Coming from a Note3 and so far there is nothing too much that I don't like about the V10. Really the only two things are that constantly on notification "Location Found". Totally useless and unnecessary notification and no way to turn it off or dismiss it. The 2nd thing is the weird way the time is displayed on my lock screen. For example it shows 11:06 pm like this:

PM
11
06

Although to be fair the clock weirdness may be an Android specific thing as I think it appeared in 5.1. I know my clock is not broken like this on our Note 3 but that is running 5.0

I don't like that it's the only phone / brand that doesn't work with my android auto. I love everything else about the phone, but if LG doesn't fix it soon, and I'm not sure they will since the g3 and g4 don't work with my android auto either, then I'm probably just going to have to switch back to Samsung.

Even the Priv works.

Love this phone. Best phone I think I've ever had. But.......that weird time display format on the lock screen. If I could change that, I'd be happy!

I am not seeing the weird time format on the lock screen. Can someone post and example for for reference?

I'm not seeing it either. Here's mine. VZ version, and I'm using the stock LG UI.

I'm also Verizon and using the stock LG UI. Strange we have two different formats. There's gotta be a way to change it since you show it different.

The clock format is weird. I am not seeing this at all on the AT&T version. I have even looked to see if there was a setting to change this or even if a font style or size might cause it. No Joy. For those having this issue are you using the stock LG launcher?
