Things you've discovered on Note 8?

When you hit the button on the s-pen, it opens air command on the side of the screen where you pressed the button. It's small, I know.

This is what I discovered, the note8 has got a spell on me haha. I went to play with my note 5 after being on my note8 since Sept 5th, and I caught myself doing stuff on my note 5 that I can do with the note8. I kept trying to swipe up and down on main screen to bring up apps haha. Yeah went straight back to my note8 lol

Here's a caveat about enabling developer options (by clicking your build number a million times). It has a strange effect on the apps screen. It no longer shows the options balloon when you press on an app which allows you to do things like remove the app, remove a group, move to home screen and other things. I was scratching my head trying to figure out what had happened. I thought it was the new theme that I applied that might have caused it .... nope. I thought it was some things that I had disabled on the BK 2 Disabler that may have caused it .... nope. By shear luck I clicked on my Developer Options in settings and noticed a toggle switch on the top right. It was turned on. I then switched it OFF. Lo and behold I got those app bubble options back by doing that. Just an FYI.

This can also happen by setting your animation speeds in developer options to 0. Must be at .5 or higher to maintain the button fly outs.

WiFi calling is only available on AT&T phones and not the unlocked versions. You can get VVM apps from the play store. That's kind of one thing that I missed from using iPhones but I just learned to live without it on Android.

This is false I have confirmed on multiple Note 8's that wifi calling and video work on Verizon too, my understanding is that it will only work on carrier specific plans because of the custom provider interface allowing the option to be toggled.

Yep, both work on my Verizon Note 8.

I haven't seen this posted yet and maybe it's no big news but since may find it helpful.
While you're phone is asleep you can wave you're hand over your phone and the lock even will awake for a few seconds and shows your notifications on you're lockscreen. I know this is not a new thing with these latest phones but it's something I had forgotten about and never used much before but I am finding I like this feature.

Is this something you have to turn on? Mine doesnt do it. Will it work with AOD on?

I found a way to keep the display screen on full time while "plugged in charging" and using the samsung music player with edge lighting effects.. Just go to About phone, Then to Build number.. Tap on build number 7 times and developer options will unlock in the prior main menu. Once in the deveoper options menu just turn on "Stay Awake". Now you can enjoy the built in music players edge lighting or anything else you like such as internet, texting, or call screen.

*This is Great for in car use when plugged in and on a mount.. :)

Anyone else not have the setting to be able to quick launch camera by double tapping home button on AOD as mentioned in this video? Specifically at the 3:55 mark, I don't even have that option in the setting.
I know double tapping the power button. As far as I know, the home button isn't a feature.
