Thinking about trading V20 back for S7 Edge

I know that feeling. If you dislike LG v20 for whatever but love Samsung brand more. Go for it. I rather hold something I like.

The auto mode on the S7e/N7 camera is more consistent but other than that meh lol. Prior to the N7 the last Samsung device I had was a note 3. I was quickly reminded why I don't care for TouchJiz or the Samsung gimmicks lol.

I love the Note line from Samsung but never liked the S line. I really don't see myself with a smaller screen and only 32 gb. Other than that I probably would've given the S7 Edge a chance. But for now I am sticking with the V20.

Is the v20 much larger than the s7e??? The size is the only thing turning me off as the s7e is about as big as I would ever want to go.

Yes, much larger. However the screen is 5.7" with an additional secondary screen vs the 5.5" screen on the S7e. The V20 has about the same footprint as the iPhone 7plus.

Yes a bit larger:

I miss my Note, the amoled display, and the curved edges.

Am I out of my mind thinking about trading in a week old phone for some that came out Spring 2016???
Talk sense into me. Pro or Con.

Thanks...

Decisions, decisions... both phones have a few things in common. I think the key is to decide which unique feature(s) are more important to you. Photos and music? Removable battery? Probably the V20. Samsung Pay and wireless charging? AMOLED display? Probably the S7E

The display is .5" smaller, due to the curve. Web browsing, reading, video and gaming are distorted on the 7E. Also half the storage. That said, if the curve distortion does not bug you, no harm no foul. It drives me nuts and makes me want to knock stuff over.

I went back to the S7e.

I have a 5 year old daughter and the V20 camera (in auto mode) simply cannot keep up with what the Sammy camera does, especially in lower light when the subject is constantly moving). I don't play a lot of games, and I keep the 256gb card in the phone. I only use about 14gb of storage on phones (pics i have stored on the SD card). I like to take pics by the pool, and can't do that with the v20. Good device, but I didn't love it. Same with the v10 I had.

I look at this picture and I think the V20 is a MUCH better looking phone. Not even close! I don't get why people say it is unattractive?

No question in my mind the s7e has a better camera on auto in low light. I try to be objective. If you argue the v20 camera is as good you're not being objective.

The camera will be my decider as well. If I have to mess with settings to get good pics and can't simply tap and shoot, I will return it. Opinions are all over the place, so the best thing is testing for self. Seems LG has not optimized their photo software for auto and are relying too much on manual. I have a camera with a real zoom lens that I use for manual pics.

Phone camera to me is a convenience and having to mess with manual for photos is far from convenient. Now, if you can edit the auto settings to optimize and then save as default auto mode- THAT would be a good compromise.

That all said, I would take my Note 4 any day over the Edge. The curve makes go Hannibal and Note 4 has same storage. The Note 4 after the MM update takes very good auto pics (low light not as good as the 7E though).

The V20 camera may not be as good as my S7e and I do notice it. It is however good enough that I don't feel like I even need to switch phones to take a pic in low light.

I think you hit the nail on the head. For a number of phones now, LG had promoted the ability of their cameras, especially the V series, for content creation. They are gearing the functions to those that are looking for more than a point and shoot, so I can see why they may have skimped on the auto mode features. The people they are marketing to are simply not going to want it mainly for the quick snaps, they will want it for the fine tuning abilities (myself included).

The first few pics look pretty good, but that last one looks really bad :)

I can only speak for how my wife feels going from the N7 to the S7E. She hates it. XD

She said it's been lagging on her a lot, and the curved edge is so much more pronounced that it's more of a hindrance than anything because of screen distortion and her palm causing miss taps.

this. the curve on the s7 edge is not good. even though the specs are similar, the note 7 just seemed way better than the s7 edge. the curve on the note was done right.

I've only had my V20 for three days now the battery is much better than on my S6 edge plus I do miss the edge screen though. So far i'm happy with it though LG tells me my IMEI numbers are invalid and they have not yet answered my emails so I take it that they are not reliable on the customer service end. where as Samsung was. when I called them about an issue so with that in mind I'll see how it it goes I have 11 days left before I can return it but one this is for sure I will get a note 8 when it comes out. I don't think that LG has good service reps and to me that says a lot about both there products and who they are as a company. the V20 is build well no issues there or with the phones performance I'm just thinking down the road if there are any issues LG will be very slow to respond and that's even if they do.
You say your IMEI numbers are invalid? Is it when you try to register for the Ear buds? If so try not putting any dashes between the numbers. Same thing happened to me and when I took the dashes out it worked.

You say your
