Thinking of leaving Samsung S21 Ultra for iPhone 13 Pro Max...

I hope not. Choice is what keeps things interesting. Have me thinking back to the days when we would download different roms to get certain features or looks. Those were truly the glory days. I don't have as much time as I use to, but those sure were fun times
Yeah i agree

Yeah i agree
Like you I use both android and IOS, and I do so on a daily basis. IOS does certain things better, but for me my go to device is android. IPhone is my work phone, so that's the only real reason I use it. At times I've taken the SIM out of my iPhone and put it into a spare Samsung, but the iPhone handles certain enterprise features a little smoother.

I use my androids more then my iphone but glad i could use both daily .

You're not wrong, but it's fun to discuss these old features...

Also, physical keyboards peaked with T9, come at me lol.
Don't get me started on physical keyboards. I swore I wouldn't get a device without one, that was until I started hearing rumors about this HTC company I'd never heard of coming out with incredible device called the Incredible.

And for the first time ever, it looks like their hardware will actually be consistent and competitive with other flagships (the only real outlier being the SOC, for which only time will tell if its generated performance is worthy of flagship accolades).

That's what I'm hoping for.

I use both daily, having both and iPhone XR and an S21 for work and a 12 Mini and a couple F³s for personal use. The iPhone is easier for our enterprise apps. Especially setup. The iPhone offers Facetime and iMessage. Those 2 are huge. I could have 3 iPhones and all texts can easily come from and get routed to 1 phone number and it totally transparent to those I communicate with requiring no effort on their part. Facetime is also easy and requires no third party apps. That's a big deal too for family and friends.

That said, Android induges ME with it's choices of hardware and flexibility. Absolutely love this Fold³!

I use both platforms for years and love it. IOS is more stable and better apps as android is a faster system to navigate around. Hopefully the new pro motion in the iPhone 13 pro models speed things up.

Personally, I get bored with both if I use either of them exclusively. So I go back and forth. Apple handles apps more smoothly, especially for work, but just isn't very entertaining as a primary phone.

Android is far more "fun" to use imo.

I like both. I've used IOS more so than Android over the years. I had the iPhone 12 Pro Max but ditched it when Apple decided to introduce on-device scanning for CSAM on IOS 15. They backtracked on it a couple of weeks before the iPhone 13 release but it's too little too late. I think letting a company like Apple scan your phone is a bit too much invasion of privacy and it opens it up to abuse by anyone. They can scan cloud drives all they want but no scanning on my phone without explicit consent from the user. I have nothing to hide but I think Apple just went too far on this one so I ditched the iPhone for an Ultra.

My thoughts are they didn’t back track as much as kick it down the road a bit so it can blow over and then just update it as planned. And the iMessage intercept for kids and photos is scary to me on the basis this shows they actively scan your messages despite the claim of end to end encryption.

Yes, just too invasive, I think.

Agree on most post here.. Iphone is great especially for my work things... I use it for personal too but work flow into IOS is great.. And I get bored with phones so carrying two daily helps my issue.. Haha

Wife and I traded our Note 10+ 5G's for new 13 Pro Max's. In our area, nothing works besides AT&T and their MVNO's. Figured buying outright and going to prepaid vs. buying through the carrier and staying with our Unlimited Elite plan where I get a work discount. Was cheaper through the carrier over the long haul.
AT&T offered us $1000 off. Priced a new Fold through Samsung, and they offered $325. A device less than two years old, that cost $1200 new is only worth $325? Very poor resale value when comparable 12 Pro Max models going on Swappa for $500-$600, and they cost $300 less new.

Apple resale is always very good. I'm sitting this one out until I see what they do with CSAM scanning on future IOS releases.

I decided to sit it out also. I don't like where Apple is headed. I sold my 12 pro max and got the s21 ultra a few days ago. Pretty solid so far. Very fluid. I'll see what apple does next year.

I’m a casual iPhone user with the majority of the time I spend it with the latest and greatest of Samsung. With that said every time I use an iPhone including my iPhone 13 pro max that I just received Friday, it always impresses me. From how fluent it is to the refinement of each app compared to it’s android Counterpart. Battery life is on another level compared to the S21 ultra.

Personally I’m glad I need to carry two phones so I choose to now carry iOS and android phone. I get the best of both worlds

When I read the statement, "iPhone are are status symbols..." I'm like...for who? ...and iPhone? An iPhone is not a Bentley.

I think its because some people see celebrities with iPhone's, so it makes them feel good to also own an iPhone. Also lets face it Apple is as mainstream as one can get. All I see in my everyday travels are people with iPhone's. Which is exactly why I will never buy an iPhone. There are like 12 guys on my softball team. Maybe 10 have an iPhone, I simply don't want to be just another iPhone user like them.

It's because the iPhone has generally been more expensive than the android offerings. I have seen people literally say they don't want android cause they aren't poor. Don't want people to think they are poor.

When I reality the most expensive phones are almost always android. It's actually really funny and sad at the same time.
