considering making this exact switch (note 8 to pixel XL 2)...can anyone speak to battery usage and compare the two?
I made the switch about a month ago and am very happy that I did. The Note 8 is a great phone but I'm much happier with the Pixel 2 XL. In my usage battery life is better with the Pixel.considering making this exact switch (note 8 to pixel XL 2)...can anyone speak to battery usage and compare the two?
I second that on battery life. No comparison. The battery life on the XL 2 is way better. It's not something I ever really have to think about. Until the Feb 5 update I was happy. That update has introduced a bunch of bugs on my phone at least. Someone on this thread or a similar one argued that one of the reasons Samsung takes longer to ship the security updates is that they do more testing, which of course they have to since they're running on Samsung UX on top of Android. But I must admit, at least when I did get updates for my S8+ and Note 8, which wasn't often enough, I don't recall any of them being overly buggy. That wasn't the case last year with the S7+. Updated were very buggy.I made the switch about a month ago and am very happy that I did. The Note 8 is a great phone but I'm much happier with the Pixel 2 XL.
