This awesome phone is in my hands. Any questions?

Can the SIM card be removed easily? In some videos, it looks like the SIM card is locked in. I hope that's not the case, though.

lol I'll get to that in a little bit. Just started downloading all the apps I had on my other phone.

When I put in the battery, I glanced at the SIM card and it looked like it would just slide right out, but I didn't try. Why would it need to be removed?

ring

Does it have the annoying faint ringing/buzzing when using wired headphones. the DINC 1 has this (sometimes) when the phone's data connection is active.

Been driving me crazy for a year.....

Verizon said they'd unlock the SIM for me so that we could use it on a local network for an extended period of time. So, I assume the SIM cards needs to come out & be replaced by another company's SIM.

$300/month for VZW international service isn't in the cards for me. hehe

what phone did you switch from? likes/dislikes compared to that phone?

Incredible 1. I love EVERYTHING better about the incredible 2.

A friend of mine is in the same boat as me, and feels the exact same way.

And let me tell you...this screen is amazing. I mean, I've seen both the SLCD and AMOLED incredible (I own SLCD, friend owns amoled) and neither one compares at all. This inc 2 screen blows both away. Clarity, colors, viewing angles, etc.

also - noticeably faster than the dinc 1?

Definitely. I just did a "test" where I opened up apps quickly, pressed home, and opened up others. No slowdown or hiccups whatsoever. With my original inc, it didn't open up stuff this fast.

Of course, just opening one app and that's it, you won't notice much of a difference. But when you use the phone, you will notice everything is faster.

I've been using this thing non stop for about an hour now and the battery still shows 90+ percent.

thanks - does it feel a lot bulkier than the 1? you miss the little optical mouse thinghy? do the 1s batteries fit in it?

I'm not sure. If I come by a pair of headphones, I'll let you know. Can you believe I've never used headphones on any smartphone I've used in my life? lol

does vz have an unlimited international plan for 300/month? i was not aware of that...but that would be great..

is the screen easier to read in direct daylight than the screen on the Inc1?

Bulkier? Not at all. It actually feels thinner. Overall the 1 is slightly smaller, but I love the feel of the 2. It also feels more "solid" like the battery cover closes tighter.

I don't miss the optical mouse thingy because I never used it. In fact, it annoyed me when I accidentally put my finger over it. Glad it's gone.

The 1 batteries DO fit I believe (heard in a video), but I can't try it right now because I'm still setting my phone up. Batteries look the same size from what I remember.

Just checked both outside. The inc 2 is SLIGHTLY better in direct sunlight, but not by much. I haven't used a phone that is good at all in direct sunlight.

The inc 2 is probably slightly better because the screen is closer to the surface (looks like it sits on the actual touch glass itself, unlike the inc1).

Notification light is bigger and brighter too. That's a huge plus for me. I could barely see it on the inc 1
