So I use Android Auto whenever I connect my device (BB Key2) via cable. The problem though is this:

As you can see, other than LastPass, I have two notifications showing Android Auto, and 1 that says "Car Mode". The remaining one is Google Maps (which in this screenshot is showing directions because I was using it for navigation) that almost always opens up even when I'm not using navigation.

Is there some setting that tells Android Auto to chill? And not to show Google Maps (i don't see it in background apps either)

Yup. It is annoying AF. Unfortunately, it IS the way it's meant to be, for whatever reason. You can always long press the 'extra' notifications and disable them so they don't appear on your list; just make sure that you're not disabling something that might be needed should a rogue app be doing naughty things in the background (which is why all these notifications are there to begin with).

As for Maps, it is always running when you connect Android Auto (since it uses that as the default for Navigation, unless you switch to another Navigation app). Car Mode is from your phone's settings and you should be able to disable that mode (should you want to) so that only Android Auto 'kicks in'.

How do you disable that? I thought that was basically the connected equivalent of Do Not Disturb which you can't disable for the screen version of AA. I can hide the notification. But if there is a way to disable it I would prefer that. (S9+ and S8+)
