This keyboard is killing me

Well, I can't find the little live message icon on the swiftkey keyboard so where is it?
Here's my SwiftKey keyboard, so how do you access it from here? I must be the one that's missing something!

It's not on the swiftkey keyboard itself, but I access it from air command.
Well I I thought that was going to be easy but how do you get the live message into here? I guess you go to the Air Command do the live message and then add it as a picture from your gallery?

I am an iPhone convert, I am trying to get used to this phone, I really want to live it, but my biggest problem so far is this keyboard. My fingers are not that fat. But I can't type without having to erase and retype 4 or 5 times even in a short text message. It's almost bad enough to go back to my old 6 plus. Am I doing something wrong.

It's not you. It's Samsung's bad keyboard. Its prediction is just ... bad. It's gotten better over the last few iterations but for whatever reason just doesn't work well still.

I vote for Gboard :)

Okay, so I've been on this website for about 6 years, and I've seen these posts so many times. All I can say, is if you're already wanting to go back to the iPhone because of the keyboard (which is easily replaced), you probably should just do it because deep down I don't think you were ready to leave Apple. I've also watched all of my inlaws do this same thing. They think they're ready for the switch, they go for it, then they realize they aren't ready so they look for silly things to blame it on and act like it was a deal breaker.

I'm honestly not trying to be a jerk, I just can already tell how this one ends, and you could save a lot of time. Briefly looking through, I see that people suggested alternatives and you dislike those too. The Apple keyboard isn't any better, it's just what you're used to. You could get used to any of these too if you wanted to.

EDIT: I may stand corrected this time. I hope Gboard continues to work for you. I do agree that the Samsung keyboard isn't my favorite, but Gboard is great.

After I finish the live message, I use the share button and send it straight to the messaging app. But when you finish drawing the message, it does automatically save to the gallery, and you could share it from there or add an attachment from your texting app.

Huh. I do believe I took the suggestions from the community and found something I like. I was just asking for help, maybe I could have wrote it better, but my question a as answered and I am Happy

No, you wrote it fine. I threw an edit into my response before you even replied because I saw where you had found one you liked. I could have deleted my post, but figured for intellectual honesty I'd just leave it.

Hopefully you enjoy the transition.

Yep, this is what I was doing as well. I can understand wanting the convenience of opening from the keyboard though.

Android does a thousand things better than IOS but the keyboards, including G Board and Swiftkey are not even close to the IPhone keyboard.

Why the OEM's or 3rd parties can't get to the IPhone keyboard is beyond me. Is it patented?

I also disagree. When I temporarily switched back to the iPhone 7 Plus, I couldn't stand the iPhone keyboard. They only started changing the case of letters from upper back to lower a year or two ago. Until then, the keyboard's letters when you looked at it were ways all caps. So you never knew if the letter you were about to type was lower or upper case. It also didn't automatically capitalize the first letter of a word in a new sentence until maybe 3 or 4 years ago. Even today, it has zero vibration options, and it's learning algorithms are terrible compared to GBoard, nevermind Swiftkey.

Also iOS 10 started supporting 3rd party keyboards. Before then you were stuck with the iOS keyboard. But even now if you use Swiftkey or GBoard for iOS (which btw is better than GBoard for Android), for some reason, in some apps, it switches back to the iOS keyboard. This makes it very disorienting.

Hands down SwiftKey!! Fast, accurate, and works with everything mentioned here.

This is the one thing that I didn't like about iOS. The keyboard switching back on its own was very annoying. And I love the number row at the top of the keyboard on the Samsung keyboard. I still don't know why people don't like the Samsung keyboard. Gesture typing is superb on it. I use it all the time. Oh well. To each it's own I guess.

I'm definitely on Team SwiftKey. I tried GBoard last year. I loved some of the features that it has over SwiftKey. However, there's one simple thing that I missed from SwiftKey that I realized quickly that I couldn't live without. When typing in a field that requires my email address, SwiftKey knows to auto suggest my email address so all I have to do is tap one button. Once I realized that typing out my entire email address time and time again was a pain in the ***, I came running back to SwiftKey. 😂 Also, after years of using it, SwiftKey just feels like home to me.

I really wish SwiftKey and GBoard would just hookup and have an illegitimate love child. That offspring would be the perfect keyboard.

I've tried all the others and go back to the blackberry keyboard every time. Swiping words into place is addicting. It's also customizable.
