What brightness? When I do this I can kill a battery before lunch so .. Not sure how you're doing that.

Auto brightness. I do use Greenify to hibernate apps.

Factory reset about 2 days ago, but this isnt my first reset on this device but screen on times definitely better. More on pace to almost 10 hours sot

Sot with a night of letting it idle, watching youtube, browsing web, Snapchat a bit, 10 or 15 pics.

I did a somewhat fair and balanced test, using my three phones: Galaxy S7 edge, Pixel XL, iPhone 7

I copied an identical movie to all three phones. The 3-hour Amadeus movie, which I ripped from my Blu-ray at 1920x796 resolution, encoded at 2000kbps constant bitrate, audio down-mixed to 2-channel AAC at 128kbps.

All three phones were charged to100% battery level and then airplane mode was turned on. Auto brightness turned off. I used VLC player on all three. The screen brightness was set to the same level(so all three screen are at the same brightness level that my eyes liked) Video was set to auto repeat itself.

Result:

Galaxy S7 edge: movie continued playing for 4 hours 27 minutes until the battery level reached 10%.

Pixel XL: movie continued playing for 3 hour 18 minutes until the batter level reached 10%

iPhone 7: movie continued playing for 5 hour 32 minutes until the batter level reached 10%

Lower resolution on the iPhone display helped the iPhone.

For te S7 edge however there is no excuse.
