You can switch from evdo/lte or just evdo. So yes you can turn off 4g.

I wish they'd sunk the screen rather than made it protrude. It looks cool, but more likely to impact something now. I wonder how much thicker the inductive charging back will be and if it will work/fit with a good case.

It's equivalent to the D3 and DX2. I'm sure if you ran several more you would see it range between 2100-2600, which just goes to show you how irrelevant benchmarks are. Still, I wonder how the hell the SGSII manages to get 3k+ stock and 4k+ OC'd.

As far as quad. Average 1.0ghz single cores run in the 1500's. My Droid 1 Overclocked to 1.1 ghz pulls a 1300. I could have sworn the D3 pulled a 2500. 2189 Seems low. For high end comparison the Gs2 does a 3100.

My D1 overclocked to 1100 running liquid gingerbread hit 1280 and i thought that was high! lol

Benchmarks are meaningless. They give you an overall view of how things stack up, but the apps themselves need to be tweaked too much for Android versions and hardware to really compare them on a 1:1 basis.
From what we've seen though, it isn't a slouch in the performance department.

You can try Linpack or Smart Bench 2011 for other Benchmarks to compare to. Smart Bench is updated to take advantage of dual core being there, should be a good score.

Actually it doesn't protrude at all. I think it looks really nice. The bionic is one of the best looking devices I've seen.
