Thoughts after using Bionic plus pictures

Yeah, i'm not too worried about that. If the Citrix Receiver stuff works as I hope it does, i'll be just fine. I have a published Desktop, Word, Excel, RDP, etc... all working fine from any normal computer. As long as the receiver within the Webtop works as I hope it does, i'll easily be on my home network free to do anything i could do if i was sitting at home. I've got a gaming desktop, my nice XPS laptop, mac mini (running Vista of all things for my wife), 3 2U rackmount servers, etc... lol Super geek with a large electric bill.

Can I get in on that? Lol you already know how I feel about citrix but my epeen would be huge if I could show that off. Lol

Why you want someone to claim they don't like the screen and somehow find a way to mention the GS2?

He was sam fan boy but he did bring up some good points at times. And the pentile rant he was always on does have some merit. Maybe not enough to focus in on it all the time but still. After playing with the photon I was very disappointed in the screen in certain aspects.

Were you planning on getting the lapdock? If so I can definitely set you up with a temporary Id that will work for a week whenever you want. I just don't want to give anyone access so the connection doesn't ever slow down for me and my 2 coworkers that plan on using it

He was fine, I really was just joking - I didn't mind him overall as a poster at all.

The thing that would annoy me sometimes was his constant posting in the Bionic forums about the GS2. Every time someone talked about the Bionic he'd bring up how he believed it was inferior to the GS2. And I was planning on getting a GS2 (w LTE) over the Bionic too... it just got almost unreadable. He'd claimed to be objective about the Bionic but wasn't.

Regardless, not what this thread was meant for. Sorry for the digression, as I said, it was a joke more than anything.

I'm happy to see another flagship phone with the lock button on the left. I also like the samsung approach since phones are getting taller.

Is the button, besides position, awkward to hit like the Droid OG/2's?

everyone thinks it, I ask it. Why the Bionic over the iPhone5?

I'm pretty sure nobody was thinking "hey, I wish that ****** who quotes himself in his signature would singlehandedly add 1/2 a page worth of posts to this already giant thread"

I didn't see who you guys were talking about on the last few pages but this right here screams CK lol.

I just downloaded Pete Alfonso's GPA17 ROM for my OG Droid and it gave it new life (for now). I'm hoping it lasts another two months or so for the Prime. I'm concerned about crapware and the qHD screen - two reasons alone to wait for the Prime (no crapware and 720p HD screen!!). Not to mention owning a Nexus device.

I'm just worried the Bionic's bloated frame and bad screen will come under center in two months when everyone pins it against the Prime.

I have a Question for you So you do not think if The Prime comes to Verizon that they will not put Bloatware on the Prime? Name me one phone on Verizon that does not have Bloatware? The Prime will be Bloated Down!!!

I am thinking about it since I have $400 in BB gift cards from hotel points. I am torn between that and saving it for another phone to buy off contract. It's like having an early upgrade for later pretty much.

I can't argue with you there, but if the rumor holds up and it is indeed a Nexus phone, I would be fairly confident it will be plain old vanilla Android that we all love.

Plain old vanilla... with bloat. :P It's just not gonna happen. There will be something.

I was expecting something much higher. :-/

How is the SGS2 over 1000 points higher on Quadrant? It's mind-boggling.

I think because he was in a 3G area that is why he got that score. I have seen higher for The Bionic.

Plain Vanilla doesn't mean bloat free does it? Anyone seen a previous nexus as an example?

Good question I guess - but from what I think I've read all Nexus devices are 100% Android and 0% carrier. Of course neither Nexus phone was offered by Big Red so I guess we'll see...we can all hope. If not we can all root.

Quadrant is everything right now. We're phone geeks and right now not much else matters. The Bionic's OMAP 4430 can't hold a candle to the Exynos 4210 - the Galaxy's chip is also clocked higher. I believe the OMAP 4430s can be clocked up to 1.2GHz but Moto didn't crank it for the Bionic - probably to save battery life - which we can all appreciate too.

Quadrant is probably the most useless benchmark there is. It's outdated, can be manipulated, and the SGSII likely benefits from having a lower-resolution screen, since it tests GPU performance in 3D rendering.

Other benchmarks show the OMAP4 and Exynos 4210 being comparable in every way.

Just to help out...... according to the Moto Rep in our store today: It is Gorilla Glass and the bootloader is unlocked.

I'll believe that when the devs have had a look at it. Not buying the Moto Rep knowing what he was talking about.

Yet if the Bionic shows great scores then everyone gets a hard on and posts them all over the internet. Am I right? My point is - you can't say benchmarks aren't important, because if they weren't then we wouldn't be discussing them in the first place would we? If real world performance is the most important then why are benchmark test posts flooded all over the Android blogosphere.
