Is the wifi complementary at airports? I've never seen it free (I don't fly much though). In any case, LTE at airports is faster than whatever wifi is there, and FREE.
I've been flying a lot lately and most airports have free Wifi. I get free internet in Dayton, Cleveland and Philly. DC seems to charge.
Some airports have Zero wifi..others like Newark let you have a free Hour then charge you, and others just charge you out right. never seen fully free wifi at an airport in the US
^ also they block sites..like facebook..and others I could not understand why ( i know i know no porn in the airports but come on

)110 million is the amount of people it actually covers not verizon customers actual population. it makes sense to have it at airports b/c the speed is so fast and wifi at a lot of airports can be a pain to connect through, etc.
you have to make concessions on smartphones dude. they are adding some pretty advanced tech into such a small device and trying to keep it as light and portable as they can. todays smartphone has an average batt. life of 8-12 hours under moderate to heavy use I would say. (correct me if I am wrong I have an en3 my dad has the Incredible based on his stats)
I have an LG ENV 3 and it gets 3-4 days of batt. life b4 I have to charge it, but It cant do anything close to what these phones can do. So im ready to give up the batt. life to get a phone that is 110% more functional.
The life on the Tbolt has not been released anyways.
it is impossible for 4G LTE to cover 110 million people, those numbers are not accurate. i cant find it but recently with the release of quarterly reports it was rumored for ATT to have overtaken VZW as biggest carrier with 95.5million customers. then right after another view came out including other data devices on network or something and put VZW back on top, but not by much. so you are saying the 38 markets cover 100% of their customers? maybe thats how many people will access it by numbers of people traveling through airports, being millions per day probably.
anyway, i stand by my statement that started this convo. selling the thunderbolt is small small small potatoes right now. not to mention there is almost no financial incentive if the rumor of no increased charges for 4G is true. this device will sell in the thousands, iphone in the millions.

Same here. I'm strongly considering a one year contract, which seems to only be available directly from Verizon.
What makes you think Tbolt won't be available at VZ online and stores same day?

It says it covers 110 million people, not subscribers or customers. You read too much into things.
Ditto. People think that having an exclusive 3rd party retailer makes it exclusively for sale there. That's never happened (except for odd offshoot colors of phones) and won't happen here either.
Wait, what makes you think Best Buy will have a Verizon phone before Verizon has a Verizon phone?
For Verizon, at least two years ago when I got my Alias 2, it was $5/month, and a $50 deductible for a new phone. I'd rather have it this way, since I take good enough care of my stuff to know that I won't need it in the first place. Although I still have it, just to be sure.
