I'm on my way now to preorder. I figure why not, I want/need the phone at release. If Verizon gives me the opportunity to 1 year it before the BB release then I'll just cancel my BB preorder and get it at Verizon. I'll then use the BB $50 gift card to get the video game Homefront next month. WIN WIN.

Yeah I'm going to do the same. I think I'll try to hold off until tomorrow just to see if Verizon announces anything during the superbowl, but after tonight screw it. I'm sick of waiting for some information at this point.
Very interested if this is going to be an exclusive to Best Buy phone for real...

I preordered...they gave me a $50 gift certificate...which I'm probably going to use to pay for a stereo installation on Thursday just to be safe. That way if I change my mind on the Thunderbolt I'm not stuck holding a $50 gift certificate.
It would really blow if the Best Buy Thunderbolt does not come with the memory card but the Verizon does. Frankly, I would cancel my order if that's the case. The memory card is at least a $60 - $90 value.

I bet Verizon will set the price at $249.00 to eat up a lot of people's new every two $50 bucks money. That puts the phone at regular smartphone prices. In a way, it could keep Verizon from truly losing any money on the last NE2 upgrades. It's brilliant really but also really really sad.
I am trying to decide what to do.. I may just stop there rite before work and drop my $50 down just incase.. I just feel a little uncertain though given we have yet to get our set release date. If feb 14th was set in stone I would have gone there as soon as they opened haha.
Wish someone knew for sure because I'd rather buy mine at Verizon, but it seems that there isn't ANY concrete information regarding the TBolt aside from specs.

Just pre-ordered one in San Francisco! The BB employee told me they have done about 10 pre-orders already today. The guy who helped me wasn't wearing a best buy uniform and introduced himself as Best Buy Mobile Regional Manager.
He said to come back the 14th to pick up the phone and he also said that for the first wave of 4g devices, there will be the same 29.99 unlimited data plan that there is now.
This is all great news, but I'm taking it with a huge grain of salt as nothing's official yet.

Just off the phone with BB in fort worth sales guy said they were not excepting pre-orders. Asked him to double check still no pre orders. Does anyone know what he needs to do to pre-order?
Oh, one more thing.

That's why I'm holding off. Aside from the specs, we virtually know nothing about this device in terms of when *exactly* it's going to be released. Tons of dates tossed around, rumors of it being delayed. I'll wait until I know more.

Just pre-ordered mine and I don't really care as long as I get my TBolt next monday. My rep also said that if they get a lot of preorders they would call me early so possibly have before the 14th? We'll see as that leak said in stock date 2/14
Im not pre ordering. My coworker says they still expect the 14th but there is a lot they are unsure about.There isn't a high demand for the phone here in AZ, so i'll wait until it's actually released.

And I agree with others, I'm not pre-ordering this at all for a few reasons:
1) I want a 1yr contract
2) I want to wait to see reviews and more details
3) I'm still not sure if I'd rather have the Bionic or Revolution
