See I never got why ppl liked to get phones at bb either... the verizon store near me has always done instant rebates for me and my family for many years, and also honored any Online BOGO or rebates as well.

I guess we have been spoiled here.

I've never heard of the stores doing instant rebates like that over MIR's, but I do know that the online sales sometimes do that.

When I bought my Droid it included the instant rebate but thats b/c it was through the online price w/ my company discount.

Just left my BB. They said their Verizon rep told them the 17th. I told them I heard the 24th. They said they were told the 17th. I reiterate my call to fire all of Verizon vendor reps.

We have never bought a phone online..i know i know, but my father being in sales likes to deal in person. but we have always gotten the rebate discounts..and never had a MIR.

the vendor reps don't know. its not their fault. Its not up to the vendor reps when Verizon wants to finally release this phone. They are in the same boat as us. I'm guessing we will get some word this week from Verizon...

My point is not that the phone won't be here on 2/17 my point is the they consistently deliver incorrect information... thus misleading customers.

I just called the Best buy in glendale. Rep spoke with mobile who said the phone will be out this week. Meaning my BB in phoenix says thursday, the BEst buy in scottsdale says thursday and the BB in glendale say this week. Lol. Arizona is awesome.

With my company discount, it only costs $53.xx per month for data + voice. I don't text.

can i buy the TB at best buy on 2 year contract, then call up vzw to have it switched to a one year and pay the diff in pricing? I have couple best buy gift cards so it would be helpful

You could always inquire about the one year pricing at Best Buy. I did that once with a blackberry. They had to check in their systems, but it was there and they would do it if I wanted. Not sure if they still offer it, but won't hurt to ask when it comes out.

Everyone should go in tm and cancel pre-orders at BB. they gave us an incorrect release date, they should pay!!!!!!!!

I did it for two reasons:

1) I'll be on vacation when it releases (assuming the 24th) so pre-ordering wouldn't matter anymore.
2) I'm going to buy it on VZW with 1yr contract.

inspire is no tbolt. but the atrix is great looking phone....but att. not so much
