Thunderbolt - Best Buy Availability/Pricing/Ordering Discussion

In light of the fact that we know that the Bolt is featured in this Sunday's Best Buy ad, and also bearing in mind that it was also in last weekend's ad, do we all agree that "the powers that be" would have to be monumentally foolish to fail to deliver the same, highly advertised product for a second week in a row? The recently rumored 10th of March would obviously make that scenario come true.

So are Best Buy really that dense?

... Would like to say no but my vote is yes on this one... Sent them a note expressing my frustration with this mess and ask what if any they where going to do to make it right... The response didn't address the question at all. So to be blunt wouldn't surprise me in the lest if it wasn't out next week, but I have no problem being proven wrong.

yes...you are right...not a big time gamer or anything...need outlook to be solid and everyone says HTC is the best for outlook. And if the phone comes out pretty much glitch free and ready to roll in March I will have the LTE happening. Thanks for the helpful thinking!

I am ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN it will be Feb 29th, not the 28th.

I called my local store(not BB) on the 24th and he told me they should have them on the 28th.. that being said I do not believe this after all the pushbacks.. I'm sure it will be released one day though

this is the last purchase i will make from best buy.
im tired of their business policies.
pushing high end cables down my throat, crappy repairs, crappy car installs,

Well, I don't want an iPhone, I want a TB.

And there's a reason I am freaking out. After the initial unofficially official confirmation of Feb 24th release, I picked up a Dinc from BB on the 17th. My plan was to exchange the Dinc for TB when it comes out. The 14 day window for full return will be up on 3/3 and if TB is not released by 3/19 I'll be locked into a 2-yr contract with a Dinc.

One option for me is to return the Dinc before 3/3. Then I will have to find some phone to use until the TB release.

The other option is to go to BB manager at my local store and try to persuade him/her to extend my 30-day window till the TB release. After it was their "misleading" weekly circular and their "misleading" official statement of mid-February release that prompted me to pick up the DInc as my temporary phone.

I am going to try the second option first. Let's see what happens.

I did the EXACT same thing. I went on Feb. 13th and signed up for VZW and got a Dinc. I pre-ordered the phone on the 8th, but i needed to switch carriers so i made sure i could swap out when the TB comes out. They said after 14 days i would be locked in the contract, but i can exchange the phone within 30 days and still be the 249 or 299(whatever the price may be). so according to my BB as long as the phone comes out by March 13th i can exchange it. I have verified this multiple times, so hopefully they dont screw me.

I don't know if you heard that joke is obsolete anymore, because DNF is ACTUALLY coming out. It was demo'd at E3 and it has a release date, I forget when though cuz I'm not really interested.

It's a new take on the joke. instead of being promised and never showing, it's promised, has a date, then is released 15 years later.

Question - when you say 'Full Return' - does that mean your upgrade status gets 'reset'? For example, I am looking to do the same thing, get the Inc temporarily because I am eligble for an upgrade and I need a phone as mine is busted (no insurance unfortunately). If I go and get the Inc, obviously I've used my upgrade; can't upgrade for 24 months. But if I return the phone before 14 days, does that 'undo' me using up my upgrade, and put me back as eligible to upgrade/back on my old plan? Seems too good to be true but thought I'd ask
I'm guessing if true, there are fees

You've asked the same question to everyone on multiple threads, and the answer is the same: You cannot use that phone overseas. Even BMX answered that for you.

If you go by Engadget, it's battery life. Given the fact that many Android devices have battery issues, for there to be delay after delay in this case must mean the battery life is atrocious (if true).

I agree it must be horrid. The Dinc with stock battery was TERRIBLE and we know that 3G CDMA radios don't pull anywhere near the juice that this thing is going to.

It is indeed dark days for the Thunderbolt.

Went up because it this point best buy knows nothing. So play it safe. Or its gonna be pitched as the phone you want but cant have an so ther is a price raise. I dont think 300 will stay. No poss way
