my phone wont obtain a stable connection for 4g although im in a 4g area...it keeps going to 3g and 1x back to 4g and so on every minute. what do i do?

Are you in an extended coverage 4G area? I am at my house, and it'll cycle every now and then. Did you try maybe hanging around outside for a little bit to see if it still does it?

I've been having outgoing messaging problems today also, battery life isn't anything to flaunt against other heavy hitting smartphones (Atrix & iPhone). I really hope they do something about this

Neither of those phones have 4G. They both use technology that's gone through a few generations, so its more efficient.

Whatever you do, do not, i repeat, do not dial *228 with an lte device. You will brick your phone and screw up the sim card!!

I am sorry, but where is this in writing or proved to be wrong?

I watch my Verizon rep do this 2 times, the first time it didn't work, but my phone's Sim wasn't registered into the system yet. The second time he did it, it went through fine and updated the PRL.

i see alot of people giving this advice out, but would love to know where this info is coming from...

Swype works itself out...be patient. It's the strangest thing, but it just started doing the spaces like it should one time, them later it started the auto caps. Note it's working great.

I'm glad my Swype will be getting updates now, unlike my Droid X.

I didn't try it initially...the Verizon reps told me. But then I did try it later and the phone (or at least MY phone) just dumps it. You can't do it if you try.

I cannot get Swype to work in the messaging app. Well, it works but it does not put in spaces between words. It works as it should in email, but not in messaging. I have checked the settings and they are correct. Anyone else? I love me some swype and have been waiting patiently to get rid of my eris and get it working on my TB but no go.

I am having the same Swype issue. Install went smooth over wifi, but will not auto space or auto cap in sense keyboard while typing SMS.

Anybody having issues connecting to PC? That "connect as disk drive" thing didn't work for me and it can't install the drivers. Wanted to sync with iTunes and copy my music over. Thanks.

Has anyone else had any issues like me with the phone rebooting itself? I just want to know because I am debating on returning the device and seeing if they will just swap it out. Thanks in advance.

Instead of a catchall thread like this can you guys either start new threads for each topic, or search for existing threads threads that have the issue? The Advisers and I will be compiling common issues and fixes I'm a FAQ over the next week. Threads like this get really hard to follow when there are so many different topics in one thread.
