4.3" QHD screen, dual core 1.2ghz snapdragon coming to T-Mobile. WTF Verizon. Don't get me wrong the Bolt is bad ass but damn. Oh well, Verizon will get it a year late. Definitely doing one year on bolt.

Just saw that this morning. Really makes the TBolt already look out-dated and it's not even been released. Now, comparing the Pyramid and Bionic, I think the Pyramid wins hands-down. Sure wish it was coming to Verizon.

I feel ya. I was pumped this morning about the pre-order at Best Buy for T-bolt but now? Wow. T-mo just jabbed Best Buy AND VZW in the face. Plus called their moms' names. So what's up?

It's Verizon. They freaking suck at choosing and releasing phones. They always have and it doesn't look like its changing.

well either way when you go to buy a phone there will always be something leaking or being announced better than whats current. if tmo would have had this at ces, an released q1 i would be goin there, i need a phone now. an thats what they make 1 year contracts for. if you sign a 2 year, then when its time to upgrade you just get a better upgrade lol. no one can keep up with mobile tech, dual core isnt even out an they are talking quad core. ill be happy with possibly the last single core phone.

pyramid sounds awesome. hopefully it won't come out for 4 months so as not to dwarf the tbolt immediately. but i'll be jealous when it does come out, regardless of what phone i have at the time (verizon customer, can't switch to tmo for coverage reasons).

just to add, verizon always seems to be 6 months behind every other carrier, tech wise.

edit sorry to post twice in a row like that

Well said. Quad core, 3D whats next??:)

The mobile market is moving so fast, that unless you're just buying your phone and full retail and then selling it when the next best thing comes along, there is no way to keep up. 1 yeah (10 months) contracts are a great option.

Also, I no longer care about the latest and most bad ass phone if it ain't on Verizon. I've been with every carrier numerous times in the past 8 years. I always somehow regret leaving Verizon and it's solid network. Not doing it any more. As long as they don't get too outrageous or cocky with their pricing, I'm staying. Even if it means an "outdated" 8 month old phone :)

No FFC on the Pyramid? :p

Im not interested in dual core right now. Don't care. THe OS's don't take advantage of it anyways. The extra RAM is what i prefer.

Then wait for the new LG, Samsung or HTC tablet, all of which will have better screens AND support the dual core and have REAL 4G support rather than fake fake 4G ;)

If you wanna get technical (since you've mentioned this more than once in this thread) the standards body governing what is and isn't "real" 4G has relaxed the definition to include "advanced 3G" which IS HSPA+. Before they relaxed it WIMAX and LTE weren't even included.

What they are really doing is marketing the higher speeds as 3G. And let's be honest, they have rolled out HSPA+ to many more markets than Verizon has so far. And they will increase the speed once more before the year is over.

As for a comparison between LTE and HSPA+ LTE does have a theoretical higher max speed than HSPA+ once the technology matures, but that won't be for years like when 3G first rolled out. T-Mobile (and Ericson which develops a lot of 3G tech) see a great future for high-speed 3G that will keep up with WIMAX and LTE, and that also don't hit the battery like those two techs do.

For reference the governing body I'm talking about is the 3GGP.

I thought only Honeycomb supported Duel Core.

Anyway BGR tweeted, today, no handsets will be getting Honeycomb. So what's the point of duel core now?

Despite HoneyComb coming or not coming to phones, a dual core phone will still make use of both cores when playing games that have been written to make use of both cores. The games / apps can be written to use 2 cores, even while Gingerbread is not.

As of right now, that's where the dual core benefit is mostly going to be seen; latest high end mobile games.

Also, there nothing to say Google won't produce a newer release of Android that does natively support dual cores on our phones.

The Samsung Alias was their last huge margin of being ahead in the device market. For some reason, Verizon just can't do the smartphone thing like other carriers. But they held the feature phone market for literally the entirety of it being the only thing available, so I'm not upset about it.
