Thanks for adding the Poll. :D I'm leaning toward returning the Bolt today.I'm packing everything in the car and driving slow to Verizon,I'm happily paying for either the Extended Battery or the Restock Fee.The Thunderbolt's a good next-gen device and LTE is the real deal(unlike WiMax). But after seeing Motorola's GingerBlur release for the DX I feel I should give the Bionic a second chance. Of course if Verizon announces the end date of Unlimited LTE before the Bionic is released I might find myself right back here with the Bolt. And that's hardly a bad thing....;)

I will be looking for your review (and poll) of the bionic!

I will be keeping. I am able to have my battery last all day, it is similar to the Incredible for me in that regard. Love the big screen, and being in a 4g area there is no going back to 3g for me. The phone has quirks (which side micro usb is on) but nothing to make me want to return the phone.

Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk

Keeping mine. No big issues since I got it on day one, and with the extended battery I get 20 hours of heavy usage.

Mine already went back. The battery life is completely unacceptable. Not sure what im going to get now. May wait on the Bionic or the evo 3d.

Evo 3d will definitely have way worse life. 3d, wimax radio, dual core processing, and those 3 cameras shouldn't be all to productive

I agree. They are putting in a what, 1800 battery to handle all that power?

HTC needs to get their act together on the batteries they put in their phones.

If they would just put in a battery that could run the phone for one full day, they would rule the world - EVERYONE would by a Droid.

Just get rid of some useless stuff, squeeze things a little tighter and make the phone a smidgen bigger in either; length, width, depth - or an combination of the three???.. Just GET'ER DONE!!!

I finally got my exchange mail working. So I am going to keep this phone and just get used to the Droid (my first) way of life. I have two batteries, so if need be I can swap sometime during the day and that will be fine.

When other new phones come out, I will evaluate them AFTER they have been released for a month. That way I can play with one in a store and read reviews before buying. If need be I will pay the cancellation fee and sell the Thunderbolt.

I jumped on this phone too soon because I was itching to get something newer than my two and a half year old Storm1…..which I got on day one because I was itching to get something newer than my Samsung SCH-a930. :)

I can't change my vote in the poll, but for those who are counting, take one out of the not sure column and put one in the keeping column.

Got the extended battery and the battery life is now exceptional with heavy usage even, lasting a full day or more.

Definitely keeping, love this phone!!

Keeping.

Toggle off 4G when using stock battery.

Extended battery gives all day 4G with heavy usage ability and I actually like the feel of it.

There will always be something with better "specs" on the horizon. It's like that BB commercial with the 4-D truck and the little girl running in circles saying "you got the wrong TV silly head." But, at the end of the day, I don't really NEED anything more. Updates, apps and more will be coming specifically for the TBolt and this phone will get better and better. If anything, I might switch my 2 year contract to a 1 year just to future proof myself, but I'm definitely keeping it.

I love that commercial! At the end of the day, I just say get something you're happy with. Whether thats something thats coming out or available now.

I'm really torn about mine. If I didn't know about the Bionic probably coming sooner than later I'd absolutely keep the Bolt, but I'm just not sure. The battery life is about 50% of the it, the other 50% is being on a 2 year contract I don't know if I'm going to really regret having such a "slow" phone in 13 months. (compared to what's out) The biggest reason I wanted to get the TB was to make sure I got the unlimited 4G as I know my old phone was probably getting close to dying anyway.

I had my last flip phone for 6 years so it's not like I'm a major phone junkie, but now that I have a smartphone I can see myself really wanting to push it more and more. Not sure what the landscape will be like; there's a good chance even the "current" dual cores may be awfully slow compared to what's out in later 2011/early 2012! (I have a Pentium D dual core processor in my home PC. That's not exactly a speed demon just because it's dual core ;) Sometimes 1st gen of new tech isn't all it's cracked up to be, of course the same thing could be said about the TB)

I like the idea of being able to root the TB, versus probably not with the Bionic, although I wouldn't want to do it for a while until I'm fairly certain the phone's not going to have any issues.

My old phone could last DAYS so I just need to realize even if the Bionic's battery life is better, it still won't be as good as what I had, so in that sense I should be ok.

I do find myself toggling a lot and wonder if that will get old in time. (Wifi off when I leave home, back on when I get home, 4g if I need it, 3g just to have it running, etc)

I do make it through a day pretty easily, the only app I run for battery is Juice Defender which seems to really, really help.

I have a feeling if it came with a 1900mah battery out of the box I'd be keeping it for sure, the phone's quite fast... but I'm still 50/50. I don't know if I could handle going back to a dumbphone (especially if the Bionic came out and wasn't all it was cracked up to be in some way!).

I wouldn't worry about the two contract thing too much. They are always people looking to buy a generation behind on tech stuff. So you can either pay the EXTRA $125-$150 on a one year contract or pay a $225-$250 on the cancellation fee (after selling your TB).

I can live with the TB for 2 years, after all I lived with the Storm1 for 2 and a half years! :D
