To Make "Double Tap" Feature Foolproof, Try "Triple Tapping" It... Works Every Time : )

Hey y'all,

It seems if just the right amount of pressure of the 1st tap isn't used, by the 2nd tap the phone is beginning to respond but is waiting for a "second tap"... So getting in the habit of always using a third tap everytime insures your phone will wake regardless if it got the 1st tap or not)

At first you might be like, "THREE taps?! work! work! work!"...lol But really, it becomes second nature and this way it takes it from a 98% successful wake rate to 100%

Come to think of it, when I knock on a door, I usually give it three knocks, so it should be second nature. Or maybe I'll just do a "shave and a haircut, two bits".

All jokes aside, I'll give this a go and see if it's 100% reliable. I'm pretty confident that we'll see a future software update that gets two knocks 100% reliable. I mean, it's one of the defining features of the device.

Welllll, from what i can tell, its more that when a person "taps", their second tap is more deliberate than the first.

In my laboratory doing my scientific testing on the LG G2 (lol) i found IF your FIRST two taps are of equal "pressure" it works everytime. Whereas if the 1st tap is kinda a soft tap like "er, um, excuse me sir/madam"...but the second tap is "HEY YOU Buddy!!" it's not going to register as "2 complete taps"..... So either do TWO "HEY YOU Buddy's! or 3 taps... lol

(this phone is causing me to lose what was left of my mind... )

I started doing the triple tap too. It's better than doing 4 taps when the double tap doesn't work. I had a pretty good success rate at the knock knock, but just as easy to give it 3 knocks and not have to worry about double knocking again.
