i have a Rooted Inspire and i'm pretty much on it all the time, and i get at least 14-16 hours out of it. (with wifi off) about 10-12 with it on
the way i do it is i set my brightness on about 35-40ish%, screen timeout on 15secs, and if your not rooted then i recommend going to the market and searching "android booster" and it SHOULD be the first one, its by "NetQin Mobile Inc." then go thru and select the apps that you need to be ignored and blah blah. and it also says its not good to have a task killer. if you do ur supposed to make sure the booster app is on its ignore list. and i dont have vibrate or sound on when typing, just little stuff like that adds up!!

if you are rooted though then the Android Booster widget glitches (it did on mine at least!) and then i just have the advanced task killer and have it set to every time i lock the screen it kills the apps.

Looks like a great option since I'm afraid of rendering my phone useless by rooting. Though I'll definitely be waiting for some reviews before I order.
