Today is the 18th. WHERE'S MY FROYO!!!

Nobody likes the messenger.....hopefully this is true because most people don't realize, but will, how nice Froyo makes this phone run. Very smooth.
Just a question, if Verizon people are already walking around with it, does else think it would've leaked by now?

Well, the only word I've seen about Verizon people with the Froyo update is from the same source that says the OTA will happen on the 18th.
So if the 18th date isn't true, then why would the other part be true?
If they can overdrive the display to make it even brighter maybe they can improve outdoor viewing, but likely only in "auto brightness" mode.
For what it's worth, I don't believe they can do anything real to fix the outdoor viewing problem, and I don't really care, because I?m pretty happy with my phone (leaked 2.2 and all).
I once was like you all. I thought Papa Verizon would take care of me and give me Froyo, but when his promises came up empty time after time I knew I would have to revolt!

So,what improvements will 2.2 give the inc. As I am not as up on the inc. Problems asi was on Droid1 the I.c. seems pretty smooth as I compare it to the Droid1 I no longer have sorry to ask perhaps by most a dumb question......
You get some features bute its like adding lubricant to your phone. Everything is faster and smoother.

I'm very new to Android, but I can tell you it brings bluetooth voice dialing and wireless tethering (for a fee). Not sure what else....
Some extra htc widgets- news, battery, weather and news.
The new voice actions are great. 720 p cam too.
Its nice. I hope unroots get it tommorow. The official release will benefit all, as root will get better more stable roms....although, again, sky 2.5.2 is really really good.

I just called in to my local VZW store on my way home, really to have a look at the Droid2.
The salesman starts his usual schpiel, improved keyboard, better processor, comes with Android 2.2 blah blah.
So I say yeah, I'm tempted to get it just for that, as iv been waiting for ages for 2.2 for my awesome DInc.
He turns to the guy behind the counter "hey, what did that internal email say this morning? 2.2 starts pushing to the incredible when?"
His colleague clicks the keyboard..."starts pushing morning of the 19th"
The guy turns and says yeah, not too much longer to wait for you, sir.
And no, I'm not kidding...

sorry took so long to reply, apparently the email notifications stop after a period of not visiting the forums, which sucks. my ears were ringing for the last few days and i couldn't tell why, lol!
no, i didn't quote the article because that's not my source. my source(s) is(are) numerous testers and other various employees inside vzw. also, my "outdated info", keep in mind there were two failed OS builds that were slated to be released around the same time, one failed, the next started testing the next day and failed the same day. so which one was that article you're referring to speaking of? bottom line, i don't care if you think i'm credible or not. that's not why i'm here. i could give a flying leap if i'm internet famous or whatever these other "source" people are going for. i'm here for a very simple reason:
i hate reading misinformation, and the bickering that therefore comes from arguing over sources, etc...i've been wrong, and i've admitted when i was wrong, but that's generally rare. so for now, we'll wait and see. but i don't care if you think i'm wrong. just to clarify.
