The reason I am excited is because I am waiting for Flash support. I bought a Pre Plus because webos was supposedly going to get Flash before any other mobile platform, that obviously didn't happen. I moved to the Droid Incredible because it is an awesome phone. Flash will only sweeten the deal.

Is it just my DInc., or does shooting video with Skyraider 2.5.2 in 720p force your DInc to reboot? The old version did, and 2.5.2 does. ROM's are all fun and games until I can't shoot my eyes out!

Y'know, I was really looking forward to this update. From what I've heard, froyo really addresses some minor issues that are on 2.1, along with some welcome additions, but it figures they aren't releasing it. Why don't all of these sites like Mashable calm down and stop jumping on the first rumor you hear? Sad that they got everyone's hopes up. IMO this is a major blow to their credibility. I'm new to this whole thing so I really don't want to root it atm, but after today.....it's tempting.....lol

Well, add the Trashable site to the large list of places on the Net to ignore.

It is clear VZW can't try to push updates out to multiple devices (Droid1,DI,X,etc.) at the same time as there's obviously not enough bandwidth to handle it. Don't want their network getting bashed like ATT's, so easier to handle the impatience/whining rather than true network performance complaints... Back to being patient – not that difficult as my DI works great on stock config.

I don't know patches from adam, but I know that several people here who are very well known vouch for him, and in reviewing his posts, here and on crackberry he seems to know what he's talking about.

I believe he also called this one correctly. So why antognize a credible source? We could remain just as in the dark as mashable. Or we could manage our expectations and our tempers and have a little fun with what is becoming a great Mel Brooks skit.

I did not get the same impression of patches as you did , I dont think he was trying to impress anyone lol.If you wana bash someone bash mashable they started this rumor about today it seems .

i dunno, saying things like "I'll be able to say more in about 10 days" or "You all suck at life for hanging onto the words of unsubstantiated rumor mill stories." or "BTW, I love the "no update here" posts, keep em coming!" make him sound like a box of summers eve....thats all. my take. im in sales and a pretty good judge of character but it IS more difficult to judge by words so i could be wrong, its happened before.
