If you post the zip and someone downloads it, how do you run it on your phone?

1. Place the update.zip onto your SDCARD.
2. Shut off your phone.
3. Boot into hboot, volume down + power
4. Select recovery
5. Give it a few seconds then press volume down + power
6. A menu will open, select install update.zip
7. Let it do it's thing.
8. Update done, remove the file from your sdcard!

Exactly what I said. They don't have that information all they know is the rollout is happening between 8/27-9/2 and that your phone will have it by 9/3. So them saying it will happen in the next two days is not a known fact and they do not have that information. For them to have it would involve a city / regional rollout and that isn't how it works. It's a random rollout based off phone ids.

BUT I'm gonna go wash my Jeeps and hope for a delicious FroYo snack when I come back in. I have convinced myself that constantly checking for an update message will surely drive me to lunacy

-Download HTC Sync from here: HTC Mobile Phone Support - DROID INCREDIBLE by HTC (Verizon) - Downloads
-Download JDK 6 from here: Java SE Downloads - Sun Developer Network (SDN)
-Download the SDK from here: Android SDK | Android Developers
-Once SDK is downloaded, run "SDKSetup.exe" and install platform 2.1
-Enable USB debugging on your phone: menu>settings>applications>development>check USB debugging
-Navigate to the tools folder of the SDK, right-click on the "ddms.bat" file and send to desktop as a shortcut. When you click on it from the desktop, the debug monitor will open.
-In the new window that opens you should see your device listed. Select it
and then click device>Run Logcat

lol possibly, but I'm sure there are a lot of people following this thread. And on top of that they would be waking up saying, "OH YEAH!", installing then jumping on AC to post the news they got it, and seeing the, "IF YOU GET THE OTA, DON'T INSTALL IT YET, DO THIS FIRST!" post and saying, "well crap!". lol

At least they will feel guilt since they received their update before I did.

98 TJ 5.5" of lift and I LOVE IT. (Just Empty Every Pocket applies!)

Yes granted you have the update.zip. When your phone downloads it it does the same process it's just automated.

Mine quit getting updates ALONG time ago from Verizon. I am the update notification!
