Today is the 18th. WHERE'S MY FROYO!!!

No Update yet sorry. Have to go to work now. Will keep checking throughout the night to see if I get it and as soon as I can I will pull it and post here. I will not update until I get it onto my PC.

You can get the update at a verizon wireless store i just called aq technical support rep and he said if you go to the store they can put the update on yopuur phone so i am heading there to get my froyo update!! Hope this helped you eager froyo waiters.

I don't know where YOU'RE at, but I just called the Verizon store down the road from me and they said the only way it will be updated is over the air and that they dont have any equipment to give an Android software update in the store

Also he mentioned that it didn't start to roll out until today, nothing was rolled out yesterday according to him...

I've been following @VZWSupport on Twitter and they continue to report the update is rolling out. I specifically asked about the rumor that it had been suspended and I am waiting for a response. My brother and I both have DInc's and he is aware to call me if he gets the rollout message before I do so we can grab the update.zip file. I will certainly post it if someone doesn't beat me to it. Also have Logcat ready to roll to try and get that url

It's possible that there is a legit nerd at the Verizon store near him who has his hands on the RUU.

@Revolutionary he actually told me that the Froyo update was somewhere online so i think he was referring to the RUU and maybe wasn't 100% on the store thing but there is always wishful thinking!

@ Revolutionary Another question since your good with android does the RUU work ok on Windowes 7 home premium 64 bit cause if so i will do the RUU but i dont want to brick my phone.

It's worth a shot - it won't brick your phone, more likely that you just won't be able to connect to the phone. But everyone I've seen that has had a problem has been on Win7, and a good proportion of those have been 64-bit (but if you check my past posts, I think this is a problem on any Win7 box).

That said, this seems like good advice: Droid incredible 2.2 Froyo OTA update discussion thread - Page 105 - Android Forums (Seriously, they're on page 105, and they have 50 posts per page! And here I thought WE were obsessing!)

Edit: sweet, no. 200! I'm intermediate, hooary! :p

If it worked on my XP OS it's got to work on 7 is my thinking...

PS what is LOGCAT, where can I get it and how does it work??

I wouldn't be so sure -- scan this thread -- most people FIX the problem by going to XP or Vista: http://forum.androidcentral.com/droid-incredible/31021-froyo-ruu-news-reviews-findings-q.html

Excellent question and a good opportunity for EVERYBODY MONITORING THIS THREAD to go check out THIS VERY IMPORTANT THREAD!!

Hey all,

I am rooted, and have clockwork mod recovery installed. I have searched all over the place looking for the stock recovery. Any ideas how to restore this?

Something is not right about this Froyo OTA for Dinc, when Froyo for the HTC EVO rolled out in hours from the beginning day 1 alot of Evorianos in AC forums started doing their comments about Froyo installation and performance in theirs devices, mean alot of androiders, few reported complain for not have received the updates after day 3. Here with the Dincredible the 98% reported doesn't have it yet! day 2 more than 50,000 persons already read this posts looking for Froyo.

Yeah but that was Sprint and they had some problems early on. Maybe Verizon does things differently and want to avoid some mess
