I dont know for sure if this is the real deal but with what other people posted with numbers in the rom, the numbers match up. I will let you know in a little while if my phone asked me to upgrade. Even if I do and it wipes the update.zip off I have a software that can recover deleted stuff from memory cards and I will see if I can get it as long as it is not fragmented.

It is very possible that running logcat may not give up the location. As for the file, It may not be called update.zip. It could be called anything.

Would be pretty hard to hide a 97mb file on the phone however assuming that when you get the notification, the file has already been downloaded.

Until I get the notification, however, it is hard to speculate on what is actually happening behind the scenes.

If I get the notification, I am in no rush to install it. Have two dinc's I'm watching on. Told my son, not to do any updates. he doesn't care about updating either.
