I don't know or care if it's coming today. But you guys have to remember these are phased rollouts, they always have been. So your friend could get the update today and it may be two months before you get it. So what would it even matter if someone else gets the update and posts here they got it. Doesn't mean it will happen any faster for you......well unless you root. I've had Froyo available to be for well over two months and been running it for about three weeks now and it's been great!

So my advice, if you are that impatient just root your phone. It takes 3 minutes if that now to do it..........(and is there anyway we can have this and the other "I want my Froyo" threads merged enough already.)

This is true that it will be in phased rollouts but if someone posts on here (with proof) that they got the official OTA updated, then the rest of us would at least know that its being rolled out and not just another rumor. True, we might not get ours that day but at least we would know for sure that its coming.
