Not 100% sure I have ever had "call quality" issue. The only issues i have related to call quality is when i'm trying to talk to my 6 year old on the other end. He tends to talk like he has marbles in his mouth while he's on the phone.

With that said, the radio update did not do anything to change my (already quite good) call quality.

For me, it's syllables dropping in conversations. I'm happy that you and others have had good call quality .

Thanks for your impressions, as it back up what some member said in reference to the radio.

I called Verizon and spoke to one of their senior support techs. She told me that it is unlikely that Verizon will make the 2.2 software upgrade available for the Droid Incredible. If you want it, you should e-mail and call Verizon and let them know!!

Seems unlikely since the build exists and was being tested. Would be a waste of time, money and resources to not do the upgrade now...

Next time someone says something that stupid, get the person's name and ask to speak to the manager/supervisor.

Either you are lying or that tech guy needs to be set straight.

I don't think calling or emailing Verizon will get you the correct answer. If they knew a date there is a good chance they would make it public. And since there is now date out there I'm assuming they are still running test. All we can do is wait

my friend works in the tech department. he's very reliable. when the Aug 18th didnt happen and i asked him about it he said "you dont want to know".
to be honest i'd forgotten about it a little. i didnt even ask him about the froyo update and out of the blue he said it had been passed yesterday. here's hoping.
although i agree with most that big red has been lagging, my friend is very defensive of them too. i dont think most realize the grief caused by the hardware shortages from HTC. dealing with HUGE backlog and a massive virtual inventory is a much, much higher priority to VZW than an update for a phone that in essence currently works just fine.

No doubt that will be the case. Like I said, I just read it and thought i'd pass it on since so many here are interested in discussing this topic. Personally, I love this phone and I am happy with the way it works. When the update comes, i'm sure it will make it even better!

Yes it did. In fact most of the custom ROMs have it as an option and you can download and install it even without root.
