I have tried the RUU becuase I am impatient and yet it fails almost every time. On Windows 7 it doesn't work at all but when I did it on XP it worked better but then got some error saying this wasn't the right ROM for the device. Weird...

As for the OTA, none here

I was able to load the RUU last night and had issues initially with the drivers for the phone and Windows Vista. I installed the HTC program/drivers and then ran the RUU with no issues.

It has been said before, but keep in mind if you run the RUU, everything (EVERYTHING!!!) on the phone will be removed. Apps, settings for the most part, Data, SMS, pictures if stored internal.

So far so good today...I like it a lot!

The only question I really have is what will happen when the OTA gets pushed to my phone. Will it overwrite the RUU, or just say the phone is up to date?

I think it should depend on when you got your phone is who should get the update first. I got mine on day one therefore i should get it before all you suckas!!!

It updates everything. Just make sure you follow exactly. Such as running the radio off update and such.
