Yeah I dont think there is any other way to get the "official " version either .I saw on tweeter awhile ago there still was no eta for when it was suppose to start now .(link on AC main page)

Not so -- somebody who gets the OTA (and who has the requisite ninja skills) could pull the update.zip file off their phone and make it available to the masses. That's what I'm watching for. No sign yet.

Why do you keep saying that? I am sure it did happen, as he is not the first to claim he got it. Obviously, we know that the rollout began today, so why is it so unheard of that he received his? I'm sure, especially being at work, that he has more important things to do than jump on this forum and claim he received his OTA when he did not. I'm not trying to be rude....

We are excited about Froyo now ,just imagine down the road what else will get us excited .Don't you think we have a problem when we are waiting for a update for our phones !I think I will sign myself in a Droid Rehab ...How about you ? Sorry for the long post, but I thought I'd share as we all wait on our updates....

Just got a call from my girlfriend (I bought her a Dinc 2 weeks ago, Ive had mine since release) ....she asks me "did you get the update on your phone that you wouldnt stop talking about last night?"...of course my relpy is "no, not yet"....she says, "well I got some notification on my phone that says "system update" but I dont want to do anything until you get home so I dont mess up my phone".....I proceed to ask her "are you sure its not an app update, are you sure, are you lying?"....at this point she says she has to get back to work and she will show me when I get home.....

Of course there is the BIG chance she is messing with me because I wouldnt shut up about it last night. She even caught me checking my phone at 4 am this morning. But if she isnt, I may be swapping phones with her as shes sleeping.....

If you can then we can get it posted to a share site for others to download and install.

So funny how people have the notion that its going to like spread like a virus or move like a stormfront. "The update is in Tulsa, it's moving at a bout 14 knots Northwest. It could produce golf ball sized hail."
