No that process is rooting the phone and installing clockwork recovery. Step 8 would involve you needing clockworkmod to install the zip file they have there. It's not an actual full update, just a payload that allows you the inject into the ROM.

I am doing other stuff too but I have this thread on my tapped browser and I refresh every so often. Have to take my dog to obedience classes (last one) so hopefully something will happen after that.
