You might need to reboot before everything shows up properly.

Could be that whatever you did to run the script(usb debugging, charge only mode, whatever) was undone. Check them again before running the script.

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

what is the difference between using the desense option here and using the senseless rom?

I debloated my phone. Only problem I am having is that I can not move my apps to my sd card. When I do move them they delete on my phone and I have to download each one again. Has happened twice already in under 8 hours. Is there a work around or am I the only one with this issue?

De-Sense disables Sense until you enable it (without having to flash a custom ROM)
Senseless ROM removes most of the Sense UI, but allows you to keep the functions of Sense (do need to flash this ROM).
Both free up a decent amount of resources, but Senseless ROM squeezes some extra life out of your battery.
The choice is yours, my son.

Are you rebooting or mounting your SD card after de-bloating? If you don't do either of these, the SD card will not be mounted onto your phone, and any apps installed on it will not be available.

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

so should I remove from the back before I clean it?

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

so if i debloat everything thing should i remove the SD card then then debloat then put the sd card back in?

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

You don't have to remove the SD for anything. If you run cleantool, the process of rooting will knock out the SD card on its own. From there you need to remount the card anyway.

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

so after i debloat and before I reboot, I remount correct then I restart?

You can remount / reboot. It's not a necessity. Rebooting only clears up some of the apps that may hang around in memory. Remounting the SD will happen if/when you reboot or you can do it manually before a reboot. The whole thing is once you reboot, you lose your temp-root.

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

finally got everything up and rooted. Love the program and thanks for all the help Mr. Smith. Do you think there will be a version that you will be able to pick and choose which apps you want off. I kind of need Adobe for work and a few others. Again thanks and I am fully rooted.

Also "Books" snuck back onto my phone, how is that?

Some apps will update even though they're disabled and make it back on to your app list. Remember that you're just "hiding" them, not actually removing them. The last version 2.1.1 of CleanTool is probably the last update you'll see of it. Scott is doing a lot of ROM work now. Also, unfortunately the list of bloat is outrageous and probably too much for some people to pick through. If you check the cleantool thread on XDA, we have a few lists of all the packages.

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

I ran this and it worked well, i tried to remove the commands for the programs i wanted to keep but i missed one apperently. I am trying to find out which line is for the to do list thingy that comes with the phone. If anyone could please let me know i would appreciate it. Also, if i want to enable that one program/line do i have to enalbe everything i disabled and then just removed the one and disable again?

Thanks in advance!

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

Great tool, thanks! Will donate. The first time I ran the script, it seemed really slow. In fact, when I selected ALL, it took several minutes. Rebooted the Rezound and the apps were still there. Restarted again and the apps were still there.

Solution is to disable Kaspersky Internet Security BEFORE you run CleanTool, not when the warnings pop up! Ran CleanTool again and it worked like advertised. Thanks again!

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

With the update coming do I need to reverse the changes I made (i think it was v1.1) which was removing just the bloatware?

Re: [TOOL] - CleanTOOL 2.1 - 12/11 - The Relentless Pursuit of Cl

If you want the OTA update then yes. I can't say with 100% accuracy that the update will fail if all the bloat isn't installed on the phone, but that's the way it was with my DX. If you're on a ROM already then your phone won't receive the OTA, and if the update is necessary the ROM dev will incorporate it into the ROM which you'll have to update manually afterward.
