In the process of transferring music to my GNexus, I am noticing that it is taking a very long time to move folders over. Is anyone else experiencing this? Normally I would just use Google Music to stream it but up at school the cell service is horrible and they won't let cell phones connect to the WiFi so if I want to listen to music, needs to be on the phone.

Just went into my music folder, selected a bunch and drag-dropped them in my music folder on the phone using Windows Explorer. Just taking really long.

Try doing smaller groups of files as opposed to one large transfer. That usually helps me when any kind of file transfer hangs up.

It's probably internet speed. I have DSL and it took around 3 hours for me to sync and make 150 songs available offline. 2.41MBS down = GARBAGE.

He's transferring from a PC I assume. So internet speed wouldn't have anything to do with it.

That will be my next step since my computer is claiming it will take 4 hours and 45 minutes lol.

Don't think that makes a difference, I am plugged directly into my computer and transferring the songs that are already downloaded on my hard drive.

yes, it takes a really long time. scheduling is key. if you time it just right when that special urge hits, click send and by the time you finish, about a gig can be transferred. disclaimer,,,mileage may vary :D

My biggest gripe with music on the Nexus is if there are songs with the same name such as "intro", instead of asking me if I would like to keep both copies, I'm only allowed to replace or not add. I never had this problem on my Thunderbolt since the system would prompt me to keep both copies.

Try transferring through Google Music. Might work faster.

Yeah, just upload to google music on your compy and then go into the music app and say make available offline on the songs you want on your phone when you don't have service.
