Trouble streaming music from phone in new truck

I've searched around for this, and haven't really found a good answer. I bought a new Silverado the other day, which has the XM radio with mp3 USB, as well as support for bluetooth. I hooked my Nexus up with the USB and it says unable to connect/ USB connection not supported. Now the bluetooth works just fine in the truck, and I've heard of people using bluetooth to stream music from their phones.. but I can't seem to get it to work. The aux button just cycles thru CD, USB etc. with nothing about the phone. Any ideas would be great. My phone is stock 4.0.4

My buddy just got a new Tahoe and he has the S3. We could pair the phone for calls, but not audio. I'm assuming it would have the same system you have. I don't think Chevy systems support a2dp bluetooth audio profile which means you cannot play audio files.
