Trying to get away from carrier restriction on installing updates for a unlocked phone

I am currently using a unlocked phone (z fold 5) on T-mobile network. It seems that the carrier information remained on my phone even after SIM card is removed. Is there anyway to remove this information to without having to switch carrier or resetting the device?

I had a similar experience 2 days ago when selling a Galaxy S9.. The T Mobile software installed itself after installing a SIM card for the first time and remained on the phone even without a SIM card installed. And also remained on the device after a full factory reset. It still had the T Mobile startup and shut down screens. I searched for a solution and read from a Samsung community post that the carrier installed software will be removed and replaced by whichever the new carrier is.
