Wondering if the new generation of phones require this to be done any longer. I need blue tooth for my car, wifi at home, and gps for the weather and maps apps, but at other times do not. How much battery will I really save taking the effort to manage these features? Are phones (specifically the s4) smart enough now to not need this kind of active management?

I rarely use WIfi since I have an unlimited plan - so I keep it off
I don't use GPS much either - you can enter a static place to show the weather
keep blue tooth on since I am in my car daily

these functions are easy to toggle on and off with the pull down menu
much easier than it was on my iphone
